It seems that my preseason prediction of 10-15 goals for Protas was way off.
I always liked the contract because I thought it was a nice price for a good third line winger who might end up at center once Dowd leaves, and most of all because I always had confidence in him as a penalty killer. I feel that a great penalty killing forward is an underappreciated asset compared to scoring wingers. It turns out that Protas is both.
