Interesting trade here. Yes, both needed a change, both could thrive. Glibert is tough, a Buffalo 2nd rounder is a excellent pick

JBD has been decent in the games he played, but while he was out Matinpalo fills the same role. Norris is a great player for 50-60 games, unfortunately, he is out 20 games a year. He threw out his shoulder grazing the back of the net one year, and taking a faceoff in another. He is one bad faceoff from being done. Cozens and a second is a steal, Gilbert is a guy to put into physical games to fight so Brady does not have to. Cozens 5v5 is much better, and while not the point guy that Norris potentially can be, he can be relied on to be healthy and if he can return to form, he will be Norris light with more hits.
Unless Norris can contribute and basically run the PP with dahlin this was an L for the sabres. Hopefully JBD will turn into something. Idk why people flame the 2nd rounder from Buffalo it’s a pick that’s it.
