Not sure why Gretzky fans are mad about his record getting broken. He’s held that record for 26 years. He’s been retired a long time. Ovechkin is a franchise player and plays his heart out. I’m a Canucks fan and I’m hoping he breaks it, and if the Canucks can’t make the playoffs, I hope he gets to raise the cup in the same season. I think he plays out his contract too, so he can put at least 20 more goals up on the previous record. He’s a beast and he deserves it.
