Logan Stanley isn't an NHL defenseman. He's our Achilles Heel, and other teams have been exploiting that weakness by focusing their exits and rushes on his side of the ice. You can also see that teams wait to attack on the power play until Stanley is covering net front.
He loses board battles and net front battles all night long because he doesn't have NHL level skill, makes bad decisions at the offensive blue line because he doesn't have NHL level vision nor hockey intelligence, and loses every foot race because he doesn't have NHL level speed.
55 refuses to play with anyone besides Connor. At least in past years.
Would you make any changes to the Jets lines?
the third pairing right now is fleury and schenn
Stanley caused the 2 first goals in canes game and they really swap miller out for schenn I get he’s a right d but damn someone can try the left side
It’s crazy how reluctant they are to try anything else and I think it’ll be the downfall of this team. Well, that and their love for Stanley despite him showing time and time again that he is not a top 6 D on a good team
They will move the lines, around and get 16 game winning streak in the playoff go jets go🎉
Would be interesting to see if they shuffle the lines , put Lowery second line centre with Ellers and Perfetti
Y is it so hard to like Logan stanly i actually hate the guy some nights
maybe get Selanne and Byfuglien in for a visit to pump them up!?!
This is actually something i agree with you Jets Hub. Blending the lines 17 games left in the season is a good idea. And let’s not lie last game against the canes give us all flashbacks to that series against Vegas and Colorado! When it comes to big old horse cock Logan Stanley. He did have a good 5 games when he actually played good defense and the reason he was not traded because no other team wants him at the moment. So don’t be surprised if the jets play him for the first round first game of the playoffs! Jets need to go on a run in these last 17 games! Anyway no bad blood between us! I like to be a little more positive and be less critical when it comes to how individual people on the jets team play! 🙂
When Stanley costs them Playoff games and they bow early again will Chevy finally put his pride aside and admit his maneuvering to draft Stanley turned out to be a bust?
I Agree with the fact that Chevy dropped the ball on the trade deadline and why everyone but Jets coaches and management can see the liability that Stanley is is a mystery. Unfortunately, the failings will leave us coming up short yet again in the playoffs.
Pretty sure Schenn can do anything Demelo can, he’s been a complimentary guy before.
Please no more Logan Stanley…. It’s not his fault. He’s trying his best. It’s just not good enough for the NHL. Third pairing should be.Schenn / Fleury for now.
Kupari IN Appleton OUT
Let's see what happens! GO JETS GO!
I would kinda like to see ehlers vilardi perfetti. We know ehlers and viardi got kem during the pp.
I think schenn is going to be good for the 3 younger guys.
Just stop. We're first in the league so just stop. it's working NOT broken. Stop trying to ""fix" things cuz you have no clue. Hearing you say "I don't mind that line." You don't mind? Seriously? It's ok with you? Just stop. Let's not mess with things so we can win the division and hang the banner. Let's win the President's trophy and hang that banner. Then win some playoff rounds en route to the cup. You're not knowledgeable enough to be critical.

Give Lambert, Yager, and Chibrikov a couple of games. Plus, play Dreidger.
Vilardi- schief- perfetti
Ehlers- lowry-connor
Nino- vladdy-iafallo
Tanev-barron-appleton
PIONK was DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for 14 goals against in 5 playoff games last year. HE was the one scoring on his own net, giving the puck away CONSTANTLY, doing stupid s***, taking stupid penalties, not moving people from the front of the net, getting blown up speed wise, and ridiculously rimming it around the boards, only to be picked off and put in our net. FOURTEEN GOALS AGAINST. PIONK. NOT STANLEY. PIONK.
Morrisey. DeMelo
Samburg. Miller (SC Finalist)
Fluery. Shenn (2x SC winner)
Armchair anylists keep shitting on Stanley. All the while the Jet coaching staff and management still believe in him….so lets fire all the pro Stanley staff and bring all the internet geniuses in to bring home the cup!
THE JETS NEED TO EXPERIMENT WITH VILARDI AT 2ND LINE CENTER. Now that the Jets have failed to acquire a 2C, they need to try Vilardi there before the playoffs. The Jets aren't going deep in the playoffs with Namestnikov as their 2nd line center. Lowry looked good at 2C for a few games but he's an elite checking center that the Jets need to keep at 3C. They need to balance the skill in their top 6. Vilardi is a natural center & played there several times in LA. Gabe isn't a one trick pony, but a lot of his goals happen in close out front. Playing him at C would put him where he usually ends up anyway, in the middle. Also, Gabe & Ehlers have shown great chemistry on the PP and when 55 had his wrist/hand issues Gabe also showed he's a decent faceoff man. So he could be the right fit between 91 & 27. I believe Niederreiter would be the best fit at 1st line RW. Yeah, I know, he's been in a slump. But this switch will kick him into high gear. Nino's skill is very underrated & he's tough & battles hard in all the hard areas, including in front of the net, where Gabe usually ends up. Nino would also add much needed defensive presence to the top line. Any one of Iafallo, Tanev or Namestnikov can fill Nino's 3 LW spot. I have to believe when Chevy traded Dubois, who was finally their 2nd line center solution (before he flaked out) that Gabe was the piece acquired to re-fill that role. I can't say playing Vilardi at 2nd C is a guaranteed win, but for the Jets to not even have tried this idea the last 2 years is foolish. With Ehlers & Pionk pending UFA's, this may be the Jets best chance at a cup. And now that the opportunity to grab a rental has passed, the Jets need to solve their 2C issue in house, within the organization. And the time to try this idea is NOW
That’s why they can so often pull off no look passes to each other. Having played together exclusively is absolutely not a bad thing.
I would really like something like this:
27-55-13
81-91-62
7-17-9
73-15-22
-I think 91 has earned another look at 2C with how unreal he has been over the last 20~ and has shown he has the ability to drive a line, I think he would thrive in that role given enough opportunity, and with 81 and 62 on the wing I think that could be a very dangerous line
-27 and 81 swap, top line has struggled since the 4 nations break, need to try something different, 27-55-13 has been unreal in the past
-62 and 7 swap, jumpstart their point production a little bit hopefully
-9 and 22 swap, cannot have 22 on the 3rd line going into the playoffs, he does not bring anything meaningful to the table. Lowry and Iafallo looked very good together earlier in the year
