  1. How about we start scrutinizing the media, Kipper, Elliott Friedman, Daren Dregger, the list is neverending, the same way they scrutinize/criticize the leafs. Lets see how long they stay in town?…They are all getting out of control, and until it stops, there will be no championship in T.O!

  2. Too bad. As the kid converses better and better his play will gain by leaps and bounds as well. If he can get over the hill he will be top 3 on many a team!

  3. Can't blame him for wanting to leave. Leafs are quickly destroying their future and won't win anything for a long time yet.

  4. him and Gardiner ….give away machines…..some body needs to teach them how to eat the puck instead of forcing a play that isin't there……..other then that , both their games are decent

  5. You media idiots are the problem.. the video title is just more proof that you're all idiots..

  6. Every player who first dons the Maple Leaf uniform is immediately hailed as the next Bobby Orr, even mediocre veteran players. When it is apparent they are not the next Bobby Orr then they get relegated to bum status. It is difficult to play a game wherein your misfortunes from the previous night is dissected by a coterie of media jackals.

  7. Leafs will have a tougher time rebuilding their blue line than moving zaitsev, who’s not a bad player or terribly expensive

  8. I don't know what they read in Zaitsev's interview in russian. But in that interview he said that it is a pressure to play in Toronto especially with his role when he plays before the offensive blue line only. It is all about statistics: points and plus/minus. He said he doesn't care about it. He does all the things the coach wants from him, playing defense, blocking shots, making hits, etc. And the most important thing is that the coach is happy with his play. He is the best Toronto's defensive player.

May be he wants to play in both ends, may be in power play. It is not about the pressure, it is about hockey.

And he said if they do not trade him he will play the contract without any problem.

He is comfortable to live in Canada, it is not a cultural issue at all. Ozhiganov, yes, had a frustration to live in Canada because of he don't speak English and his family too. In that case it is a cultural issue. But anyway Zaitsev tried to convince Ozhiganov to stay in Toronto.

  9. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the leafs organization for giving us Zaitzev and taking Ceci from us.
