Laf looks really slow. I hope he is injured because if not this is going to be a long nightmare.
Rempe has been very good and will be a big part of the future. Lafreniere has one more trade deadline to prove himself. He has been awful in a season full of awful performers.

I'm not sure why everybody's so surprised about laff. Panarin had a career year last year and his linemates benefited from it. There's no other reason. That line and that team in the regular season go as he goes and even though he's still averaging over a point per game he's not what he was last year. Now your defense which was still pretty bad last year is totally exposed because we're not out scoring our defensive problems
The Jets showed exactly why they're the best team in hockey their defensive structure was on point and they have a quick transition. If it wasn't for Igor they would have had six goals easily I think in the second period alone he had five breakaways or close to it. It's just another game where the goalie makes it look closer than it is and for all the Igor haters out there I don't know what else you could possibly expect from your goalie He's worth every penny because what are you going to do you going to bring in another guy and pay that person who's going to stink anyway

I love bashing Lafreniere (sacred cow and passenger that he is) as much or likely more than the next guy. He was fine last night. I mean, at least he wasn't whiffing on high danger chances like Kreider or taking multiple dumbass penalties like J.T. Miller.

No one listened to me that Kappo was the keeper….I took so much crap….at least til now, I was right…He is pretty tough…that’s a plus, but he’s too slow, can’t accept a pass very well, and not very good in the D zone….loses a lot of battles in the corners, rarely can carry the puck through neutral without getting caught from behind…Granted, Kakko isn’t any faster, but he has much better puck skills along the boards and is absolutely excellent on D…now his offense is picking up….I just don’t see Laffy improving unless he finds some speed. Watched his draft reel…he’s a setup guy…he needs to be the guy that Bread dishes to when Bread carries it into the zone, and let Laffy find the open guy…his 1.5 good seasons, that’s what he did…

I don’t know how all the players get interviewed and continue to say that they are playing good defense. I don’t think they are and a couple of the lines have not been productive at all, and I don’t know why he continues to keep those players together.

I wonder how serious Lafreniere takes his game, he looks gaunt, I remember about 2 years ago he was listed at almost a solid 220 pounds now he is listed at like 195, I have noticed he looked skinny this year, he is playing so it isn't a health thing, I wonder what his diet and workout habits are. He also looks pale as a ghost most times. I think he is 100% gone this offseason in a trade package for a star, he has been a total bust for a top pick.

Our 4th line has been our best line… in terms of working hard. Rempe,. Brodz, Carrick (quite possibly our team MVP).
He tires out easy. No sooner he gets on the ice, he’s sucking air and turning red in the face. He’s just not that good.
