  1. This is what this franchise does best. Selling hope. This is their bread and butter. Don’t let this fool you into thinking they won’t lose embarrassingly in the next 1-2 games.

  2. Gentlemen,
Who knew all they needed was a name change?

On Wednesday, can they change the name again?
    Colorado's coming 😮

  3. That 3rd line will have a hell of a time playing against Coyle and avs Also last game against the avs the second line of Nelson and Nykushkin dominated against Tavares and Willy . Let’s hope we get a 60 min against the avs

  4. Guys… the offside replay was shown numerous times. The puck goes vertical and enters the zone SECONDS later. They didn't run the replay long enough until after the game, the play was literally 2-3 seconds offside. You lose the puck because it bounces directly up and out of view. Do better.

  5. Yeah it worked in Leafs favour, but I'm so sick and tired of offside review, it's the new foot in the crease rule, it's ruining hockey and making you second-guess a lot of goals. A lot of times you're not sure you can celebrate a goal. Gary Bettman is entirely inept and should not be commissioner. Who cares if a player is a quarter inch offside? That inch never has any impact on the play, it's not like the inch gave the scoring team a huge advantage.

  6. Lanny and Darryl, but also Tiger, Salming, Thompson, Turnbull, Palmateer & Thomas, etc. It was one of the most likable rosters to cheer for even if the team didn't have much success.

  7. Matthews has played better then this game man. Games that he hasn't scored in. So he scores and he's god again…lol Come on man. So his injury has all of a sudden gone away?? Come on…Over dramatic .Flames are weak competition . Matthews can only play good against weak competition. I haven't seen him dominate against tough competition. I miss the guy that I watched in his 1st two seasons here. Enough with the BS. The Leafs needed an easy one…they have never blown out a team in a long time. I don't think you guys watched this game tn. Anyway they needed this to get confidence back and get on a role.

  8. Great win boys.
You rewarded the fans with a much needed win.
Keep building and power through until the end. LFG!

  9. Matthews looks like he's got a plank of wood strapped to his back, dude's stiff as a board, and can't play with any kind of intensity so it was good to see him get a couple tonight

  10. Prime Hockey baby! The stiff back is something that comes and goes. How can it be managed…aw, Wendel?
