This game was a defensive statement. Kings kept the shots against (23) below the league avg.
The Kings themselves were under the league avg. (18) but the Kings were more worried about playing a trap game and having a serious let down.
23 shots against Kuemper is more than capable of handling.
They probably expected to score more, but it still worked out. Only 3 regulation losses at home.
Props for keeping it real Eddie. A win is a win and 2 points are 2 points but this was not an impressive win against a bottom feeding team. Team needs to find some consistent scoring because once they know they have that, it will lift a burden off their PP's shoulders as I honestly believe their PP suffers considerably because they feel they have to score on it because of their games usually being tight affairs.
So happy for Q. Hope he's able to keep it up and develop into the player we know he can be.
I knew Darcy would be this good , I think in like 20 games with the Kings on his first stint he went like 18-1-1 or something real close to that ! Then he won a cup ! An$ then he was on a caps team who at the time gave up the most shots per game those seasons . No GT. Shines in that atmosphere. However with kings number 1 ish always in defense m come on , kuemper was built for us ! Mayb3 even by us ?

QB just needed to be consistent on all facets, especially forechecking, which normally generates offensive opportunities.
If Byfield is ever going to take over the Captaincy here, he is going to have to give LA a lot of moments that can't be easily duplicated.
He is only 22.
By the time he is 25, he is going to be hands down the best player on LA's roster.
The winning goal was all on Kempe who mad a nice move to gain room around a player who was holding his stick and had to wrestle it away from him and then made that heads up pass. Props to Byfield for putting it in.
Loved that pass that Turcotte made late in the third which resulted in a shot off the pipe for Jeaneot. (sorry about spelling)
The last 2 months have been horrible in the 2nd period for the Kings and the Reign. Something is wrong there.

I’m so glad they won this game. At some point, though, their inability to dominate in games that are clearly mismatched in their favor needs to be figured out. CHI is coming up, and we know how the Kings struggle against that juggernaut.
I think most of the Kings penalties weigh heavily on intentional, less towards close calls. That being said, I think the refs call like they see it or think they see it. If that makes any sense.
