Les Sabres de Buffalo ont connu une saison abyssale de la LNH cette année. Une séquence de 13 défaites qui est passée de Thanksgiving à Noël, a échangé Dylan Cozens à part qui est allé à Ottawa à la date limite du commerce juste pour l’allumer immédiatement avec 6 points en 7 matchs et va à nouveau manquer les éliminatoires. Malgré tout cela, dans le match de la nuit dernière contre le club de hockey de l’Utah, dans ce qui a été un match de va-et-vient, ils étaient juste dedans et à égalité 2 à 2 avec moins de 6 minutes. Et pourtant, il s’est complètement effondré. Sur le point de recevoir un jeu de puissance, ils ont plutôt marqué sur le filet vide pour donner complètement le jeu officiellement. Ce qui est le plus fou, c’est que Stenlund a non seulement pris la pénalité avec un bâton élevé, mais il a également été le dernier à toucher la rondelle, ce qui signifie qu’il a également été crédité d’avoir marqué l’objectif net vide. C’est vrai, une pénalité et un but sur la même séquence. Pas quelque chose que vous voyez tous les jours, mais cela ne pouvait se produire que contre Buffalo. As many, if not more, high picks fail as succeed, and one of hell of a lot of professional stars come from way down the draft list. Tom Brady is a glaring example of it. They thought he was the worst, in a single draft, when he is the best there ever was.

Even with Lindy Ruff being a pillar in the community and a Sabres alumni and well loved by the fans is probably thinking to himself why in the hell did I comeback to this joke of an organization. I get it that this man has good intentions and loves the city of buffalo, but even he should’ve just retired from the game for good and just enjoy his life. We Sabres fans had suffered enough of this team. Terrible Pegula should sell the team and get a competent GM.

When it's this bad, it's usually bad ownership that creates this kind of monster. Clean house, get some real experience into the front office and let them do their thing to turn it around. the owner's can't blame anyone else if they meddle in the process.
