Steve, I’m curious. When you started doing these videos all those years ago, did you have any idea how big it’d become. Like I’m sure you had a goal or aspiration or dream for what it would lead to, but did you ever think that you’d get press credentials for the leafs? That you’d write a book that would sell better than Nazem Kadri’s? That the president of an NHL hockey team would call you up asking for you to interview him, or be approached by Amazon to do an intermission broadcast?

Steve, man, you gotta start being more specific about what you think the problems are. Just saying the D is horrible, the goaltending is bad, etc… isn't good enough. It doesn't add anything to what we already see in the results.
It also is unnecessarily nasty to the individual players.
Now, if you complain that the D is playing to tight, that's a useful observation. If you comment on the slowness of the breakout, and compare it to how Willie is almost to the opponent's blue line by the time the Leafs realise they have possession and are ready to break out… Then maybe you're earning your soup.

Hockey today is more of a team game than ever. It is also more system based than ever. The Flyer's special teams need reassessment. Clearly, they're not working, but what is wrong? Zone entry is problematic. The dump and chase is a fine tactic, but the timing is critical if your guys are going to win the puck battles. You need to time the dump with players already on the rush.
Last night, the dumps were late. That often resulted in flyers putting on the brakes and becoming almost static on the blue line as the puck is dumped. All that momentum lost resulting in lost races.
Equally problematic is the puck-carry entry. The pauses to stick handle before reaching the blue line has resulted in sooo many offsides for Philly this year, it's silly. The fancy dekes need to happen after the puck is in the zone.
If you're passing to the wings (who are static at the blue line), again the timing was repeatedly too late. This results in more of a lateral pass and slows entry. The lateness also usually brings two defenders to tighten against the centre on entry. The late pass means it's much harder to break past and into the hash/slot to receive the pass/rebound.
Earlier wing pass entry splits the middle as the play naturally spreads to the wing, allowing the centre to speed through the middle.
PP and PK need specific attention. What aspects do you see as the first to address?

As a Flyers fan, it's clear that the team and coaches have quit on the goalies. They had been defending decently well up until last night.
How often do you see coaches keep both goalies give up 7 goals and the coaches just make each of them sit in it.
