I feel like you can have a hard working team that’s built on strong work ethic… without making everyone on the roster hate your guts and hate playing the sport. Need a guy who inspires hard work… without inspiring hatred.

He has decimated our roster, got rid of good young players (Frost and Farabee), and now fires Torts with 9 games left? I refuse to attend any more Flyers games until this dumpster fire gets corrected. Same for the Sixers. Thank G we have the Eagles and the Phillies.

I have to think there is definitely more to this story than Torts comments following the Leafs game and benching of York. I wonder if DB or Keith brought up the lethargic PP and that the Flyers need a new leader in that area ? It does seem a bit strange the timing of the dismissal.

Torts the "great psychologist" constantly messing with players heads. Thank goodness he left before destroying Michkov. Perhaps more players will want to come here now. I'm not a huge Cam York fan but I hope he has a hat trick tonight.
Philly has to be the most poorly run team in the league. The coach never had a chance and the two bozos(ex-hocky players) running the team area joke. This team will continue to be bad for the next few years. I feel sorry for the players and the fans.

I believe Torts wanted the build part of the rebuild to start this summer and the rest of the management wanted to wait a few more years.
This reminds me of a movie where the owner wanted to move the team to another city but they had to drive attendance down lower in order to make it happen!
We are now in good hands for the Briere Jones 15 year rebuild process!!

Torts was the wrong coach for a rebuilding and never gave a good opportunity to showcase younger players for a proper assessment. Add to that the disrespect to players and media.
