This is who leafs need…or even my sens..hes a great coach…just expects his players to play…hes old school and i hate to say it but players these days whine moan and complain..its ridiculous

Good riddance! Torts won a single Cup two decades ago by sheer luck and ever since behaves as if he is a better coach than Toe Blake and Scotty Bowman put together. I know media like him because he produces catchy soundbites and captions, but that hardly qualifies him for the actual job.
Tort has always been a divisive figure. As a pro athlete, I would have not want to play for him. Number one skill as a leader and coach, you always have to be in the side of your players. Always. This guy is a terrible coach and obviously the sport press need to stop glorifying this ass.

Columbus hitting a rut at the wrong time. Hopefully the bodies coming back can turn it around. They do have some guys who could excel in playoff hockey but it's going to be pretty tough to get in at this point

How about firing the real problem, Kim Dillabaugh the goaltending coach for the Flyers the past 10 years.
When is the last time any Flyers' fans have said "Well, you can't blame the goalies?"
Who tf is Kim Dillabaugh and wtf are his credentials? The goaltending NEVER, EVER steals a game for the Flyers. In fact, it costs the Flyers in 95% of the games. How on EARTH does Kim Dillabaugh keep his job year after year when goaltending is sub par year after year?
Torts was due to be fired but don't expect a resurgence in wins as long as Kim Dillabaugh remains the goaltending coach. It's obvious Torts gave up on the goalies and let them stay in the crease while they gave up 5, 6, 7 goals a night. But wtf was he supposed to do? The backup that night would give up just as many goals so who tf could he turn to? Dillabaugh a goaltending coach for 10 YEARS? Absolutely stunning! He's worthless. He's the problem.
Who cares? The Flyers are a joke of an organization. I was a DIE HARD fan my whole life and haven’t watched a single game this season. They’re more concerned with corporate gimmicks than they are with being a good hockey team. They must have paired with Disney’s P.R. team

If I were Torts I would’ve Quit mid season. I don’t think Flyers Team are coachable in any respectable way. If Torts can’t manage Flyers I don’t think any coach can do anything with this Team . It’s sounds Flyers are going bankrupt.

Yeah honestly the big problem in Philadelphia was failed drafts , but mostly it's the lack of a goalie. The Carter Hart problem sunk the, team just as Tortorella had gotten their defensive game together. Last three years Flyers moved from being one of the worst defensive teams in the league to being one of the better ones. 2021/22 they were 29th in shots given up 34 shots against per game down there with montreal. columbus and arizona.
The Last three years they have given uo a sixth fewest 28.5 SAPG up at the top of the league with LA and Carolina, Utah, Seattle and New Jersey.
I have to say that is all tortorella putting in a defensive system.
The last three years they have been 26th in goals against. They need a real goalie MacKenzie Blackwood would have been a useful pick up. They still have a good core. They got rid of all the picks they made that produced a group of fair players that they probably paid too much to.
THANK YOU CJ! I've been waiting for someone to bring up how the political climate could effect the cap. Seats are empty. Charity deals aren't selling out like they have every year before. There are real ramifications happening NOW. And they are only going to get worse.

Daniel Briere is a garbage GM. Let's Blame Torts. Maybe give him some players he can Coach . Those guys on the flyers are all 4th liners and the Goailes should be playing in NCAA if at all. I'm far from a fan of Torts but to blame a coach because you Don't ice a competitive team. Briere Should get the boot to.

If Columbus makes it in to the low 90s in points, they'll probably pass New Jersey for 3rd in the division. New Jersey isn't secure in their playoff spot.

Last time I can remember a coach being canned this late into the season was when Lou was still GM of the Devils, and either the season coming out of the 04-05 lockout or the season after that, he fired a coach for "not having the team ready for the playoffs". I thought firing a coach this late in the season was a move reserved for Lou, basically.

Lindy is a great coach it’s everything around him that’s not so great. Until Terry hires a real GM leaves an open check book and him and Kim go on a very long vacation nothing will change. Terry is the worst owner and Torts isn’t having it in Buffalo
