  1. More than any other team in the nhl everybody plays harder(110 precent) against the Toronto Maple Leafs, so if Toronto comes to game not 110 precent effort they could lose.

  2. Marner is not the super star. He is great play maker but can be replaced with Two good players at the money he makes and three players the money he is going to make.

  3. I know in the past you've brought guest speakers on to do little segment. You're a busy guy, would you ever consider bringing in someone to do an guest LFR?

  4. When the ref waved off the high stick it looked like he was watching the Kings player and then waved it off. Looked like maybe the Kings player touched it, but they never showed if he did or did not on replay

  5. The referee was standing right there and saw where his stick was and waved it off immediately. The review didn’t show any angles that showed it wasn’t cut and dry over his shoulders since the cameras arent rink level.

  6. Leafs run the league ,but only for the season, because of the stupid money laff fans spend to support the rest of the league ,and then comes playoffs ,when the league says ok, now you are on your own,and we all know what happens then. ONly the leafs can get away with changing the time of a game out west, and ONLY the leafs can get away with a high stick like that. WAY TO GO TORONTO OFFICE, keep it up, you only have a couple more weeks to run the league ,and then you can go golfing ,( with the leafs)

  7. I've been to four Leafs games and they've lost all four. Side note, my friend won't watch Saturday games anymore because they lose every time we watch together. Yeah, I may be a jinx. 🤷

  8. It's shoulder height when he's standing upright. He wasnt fully upright, as he's knees are bent and he's leaning forward. If he was standing straight up it would be as close a call as it looks now.

  9. Gutsy using the phone mic again, lmao.

So, with the Matthews goal, everyone's using that broadcast angle (which looks okay after all as far as it being a goal), but there's the angle in the corner that looks even more clear as far as it being below the shoulder.

Robertson's penalty against the Sharks was a bit of a phantom call, so I don't think he was scratched because of that. I do think he's been good, but his strongest ability is scoring goals, and he hasn't done that a lot lately.

BTW. Am I the only one who keeps hearing Alex Laferriere as Ian Laperriere instead? lol

  10. It’s great to see you out of the blue room, but it just is not the same without the jump cuts. Genuinely hope you enjoy the trip.

  11. Seeing this after the sharks lost by 5 goals to the Rangers and the Rangers bus hitting Mack’s Range Rover 😔

  12. As a Huge Fan of LFR I’m so happy to see Steve doing his thing in the California Coast broadcast. Wish I was there with you Steve . It looked like u where having the best time in ur life. Keep up the great work LFR 👍

  13. You can’t use the “It’s the NHL” excuse for Robertson when you’ve been mad at Babcock for the Spezza scratch for years.

  14. Sharks fan here, last season I went to ~11 home games and they lost every one of them except for the one against Ottawa. That alone was worth all the ticket prices

  15. Not to be overly cynical, but what are the odds that the drop-off season that was expected for JT this year happens next season after he gets extended?

  16. I’m genuinely curious if there’s something about the way the team travels that interferes with their ability to get focused for road games. They don’t seem to travel longer distances very well, so maybe it’s something about the itinerary or something that would make them perform better

First Nashville, then San Jose…playing down to lesser opponents after significant travel seems to be a thing

  17. As an Oilers fan that needed the Leafs to beat the Kings, that was absolutely a high stick and that goal should definitely not have counted.

  18. Everyone paying attention to him flipping the puck out so Tavaras could get the empty netter, but Marner anticipating and picking off the pass down in the corner to start that play was freaking brilliant.

  19. serious question: is the high stick at shoulder height rule based on a players max shoulder height, or wherever his shoulder happens to be if he's crouching… what if he's lying on his back?
