It's great watching Bedard Knight and Nazar playing with their future teammates Moore, Rinzel, Levshunov, and Korchinsiki. If they can get Misa and when guys like Kansterov, Thompson, and Boisvert come over Bedard will be getting the help he needs, but it is good that he isn't alone now

The rule changes starting in 2005 were a huge help. Imagine if Gretzky could have hung out at his opponents blue line never having to worry about the 2-line pass rule which was eliminated in 2005. There should be an asterisk next to this one. Also 3-3 OT introduced in 2015. Imagine Gretzky playing 3 on 3 OT for 10 years.

Ovechkin's 894th career goal was also his 136th career GWG, breaking his first place tie with Jaromir Jagr. Gretzky is tied for 22nd all time with 91 GWG.
I love Ovechkin and it's amazing to tie and break the goal record! Gretzky is still almost 1000 points (goals and assists) ahead of the next guy, Jaromir Jágr. I don't know if the full points record will ever be broken.

Crosby is still a better player than Oveckin. Hard facts. I'm seeing all this If Ovi played in Gretzky's era and if he played with top linesman. He couldn't beat Crosby in the 17 year career internationally or at club level. Crosby at the end beat him in everything. Ovechkin takes the goals. In the end, Gretzky did more internationally, more in the NHL and has more records than both Ovechkin and Crosby. You could argue Crosby has had more success than Gretzky (internationally) in the long span of his career, but I haven't really analyzed that data. I suppose he does have. Ovechkin isn't even better than Crosby, when we look at Olympics, best on best and the NHL. Then there's Mario Lemieux. I guess we could say, but oh, he had cancer and injuries he could have been better than Gretzky.
