I’m a NY Islanders fan since it’s my home.. but I’ve been watching Ovechkin since his first season. Always hated when my team had to go up against him. He’s the full package. He can take a hit, dish one out, provide great passes for his teammates to score.. and his stick handling is next level. Very hard to get him off the puck. All of that, and he had no special treatment like Gretzky had. Yes I said it. Most players in the league didn’t try to crush Gretzky with a big hit. They basically left him alone. Ovechkin never had that special treatment and he still achieved all of this. I truly don’t believe anyone will ever surpass him. I think he will be holding on to the all time goal record for an eternity. A truly special human being.

Pavel Bure was my favorite player growing up and I remember the first time I heard about Ovi I was like holy 5hit this guy is so cool and flashy, he can hit and that goal he scored in Arizona against Waynes team i knew right then and there that this guy's going to be something special🎉 Alexander Ovechkin the GREAT 8! He's going to pass the Great one tomorrow morning and I have a game later that day and when i score tomorrow im yelling OVECHKIN! As loud as i possibly can!
