  1. I like this better than what I have been hearing all year "Quinn will leave to join his brothers" lol

Bring the Hughes's over the Van lol
Lol the team will either Petterson's or Hughes's

  2. trade for josh norris. hes quinns best friend. peety probably has higher trade value than josh still so trade peety and out first to buffalo for norris and their first. move up in the draft and make quinn happy at the same time. Then beg brock to stay, he is one of quinns best friends . still do the offer sheet to luke . now you have two of quinns best friends and his little brother. lol

  3. One thing about bringing in a young D-man who's that young, but is indisputably good enough to be a top 4 pairing even now, is we've got Myers in the twilight of his career, he's retiring in the next year or 2 most likely, and in the meanwhile, will start needing more and more rest to remain effective when he is in the lineup, and trading him is not a good idea at this time, as his experience is too valuable to move compared to what we could get for him now. His contract is very reasonable for what he brings to the team, so it's not like he's living under the shadow of an oversized Benning Contract anymore. Let him play out his career as a Canuck, and build up those talented rookies to replace him, and let Myers rotate in and out of the 3rd line for his final years, lending us his veteran stability and dressing room influence as needed, while also letting the kids play and get ready to be our prime guys in a few years. As Myers retires out, Markus and Forbort can take over the veteran roles and do their thing for the kids as they start entering their peaks and those 2 are staring their downward slide.

IMO we've got a good core of young to prime forwards, what we're lacking is a stable veteran who can help on the 4th line and get the most out of them, and help them learn how to be more consistent in the NHL. That's the one thing the Canucks have been lacking currently, and for a long while too. JT tried his best to be that as he entered his 30s, but just didn't have the right temperament and just got himself and everyone else all wound up in the wrong ways. The Canucks of the early 90s had Ryan Walter. And they had that in the 2010-2011 iteration, and in the early 2000s with Trevor Linden, but they've not got that now.

  4. Quinn Hughes is the oldest looking 25 year old in the league

Why would his brother even want to sign an offer sheet with this clown show franchise.

Canucks are going to need to overpay in FA regardless

LD is not a position of need right now, far from it

But since this market is so delusional in thinking bringing Quinn’s brother will make Quinn stay

Pathetic, go get a real number 1 C, scoring for top 6 wings a real top pairing D to play with Quinn that isn’t a chaos giraffe like Myers or Hronek who cares more about offense than defense

  5. In the case of a VAN offer sheet, they would be on equal footing with NJ except if there are cap issues, but not equal footing if no offer sheet. NJ could match an overpriced offer sheet and try to get Quinn … which would be the case without the offer sheet. So there's nothing to gain by not offer sheeting Luke … only money to lose … is it worth the gamble? Without the gamble, Quinn is headed to NJ.

  6. So Luke leaves Jack who he's been playing solely with to start his career,..to join Quinn, ya that makes sense to the brotherly bond notion, and oh yeah Jack will just "come" to Van in 5 years when his contract is up…sorry Canucks Fans, Quinn will be a free agent in 2 years and he will be a Devil. There is no way it even remotely makes sense that Luke would leave Jack, something you guys are clearly not thinking about…the notion is all pointless because at the end of the day this isn't about money, they all want to play together as soon as possible and on a winning team

  7. Van has no chance of doing this, it would need to be a four 1sts over $11.4m contract to scare NJ off. Unless you're willing to make him a top 3 payed player this is a pipe dream. Also zero chance would NJ have any interest in Petty for either of our Hughes's let alone both. Just accept Quinn is the one who is gonna be coming to NJ on his next contract.

  8. Don't worry about maintaining any credibility, just keep gettin them to click in . Just because DeHole88 doesn't know that Luke Hughes isn't offer sheet eligible, you should !
