1. Guys, isn't that sooo weird to comprehend? It is unlikely that the Detroit Red Wings will catch up to the Toronto Maple Leafs in Stanley Cup wins within the next 5–10 years. The Maple Leafs currently have 13 Stanley Cups, while the Red Wings have 11. Nothing to say about any team catching up to Montreal Canadiens with their 24 Cups ever. 😮

  2. Acting like the Florida Panthers were “just a 2nd wildcard team” is a huge understatement. The year before they had the 5th most points of any NHL season, that year they went to the Cup finals, and the year after they won the Cup. Injuries derailed their 2022-23 season and it worked out that they’d play the Bs in the first round that year.

  3. I don't know who's pitying the Bruins right now but it certainly isn't me, watching them collapse has been hilarious, couldn't happen to a better city and fanbase

  4. The Bruins accomplished a lot and now they will go into rebuilding. They accomplished what they set out to do and can ride comfortably into better draft picks and building another championship team. I’m a leafs fan.

  5. Allowing players to get old and retire or trade for later round draft picks is a recipe for a very long rebuild.😂. One cup since '72. 🤣🤣🤣

  6. Swayman came in at 43rd in goals against and 36th in save percentage. To say he’s been great isn’t fair

  7. Lifelong hockey fan long time hater of office politics. We have lost legendary people over poor front office decision making practices. I love New England sports, there's always another local team to root for while the other side figure things out.

  8. The Bruins 2023 season is not the greatest ( though very impressive ) and a somewhat close second to the 1977 Habs season of 60 wins an incredible 8 only losses and 12 ties = 132 points in 80 games . There was no Overtime for regular season games in that era.
But if you factor in the Habs .850 winning percentage that year they would have won 8 or 9 of those regulation ties giving them around 140 points in today’s NHL . 5 points more than the Bruins and 2 less games played!😮
    The Bruins 2023 record was 65 wins 12 losses 5 ties ( overtime losses ) = 135 points in 82 games ! ( 2 more games played than the Habs )
The Bruins had 7 overtime wins so if you deduct those 7 points from their total they would be at 128 points in that era. Simple mathematics..

  9. After how Bruins fans act when they come down to Panthers' games, I have ZERO sympathy. If any fanbase deserves this, it's them.

  10. the answer to this is don sweeny and cam neely. they have butchered the bruins. made them soft and slow. and just dished out some of the worst contracts to players that just werent worth it in any way, while depleting the minors. plus losing two of the best captains hockey has ever seen, chara and bergie are two unicorns. cam and don should be fired based on how they handled the ullmark and swayman situation in the offseason, trading ullmark before signing sway was absolutely atrocious and they should be fired for that in itself. bruins fans need to brace for another 5 years of being bad.

  11. I don’t care how they fall apart, they fell apart and that’s what’s great.

  12. 2023 Boston Bruins and 2016 Golden State Warriors both had the best records in league history and lost after having a 3-1 series lead
