The flyers have been in the same type of situation that they haven't basketball where you're just good enough to almost make it to the playoffs or just make it into the playoffs and then losing the first round. This means you don't get a good draft pick and at the same time you don't win anything significant. They're in purgatory hockey purgatory. They need to just lose every single game that they can and start collecting picks. Get some good pliers send them down to AAA with the phantoms while you do the same thing next year pick up some more good players and then only then can you really evaluate your situation.
