I agree with Adam here actually. Era adjusted stats are ridiculous. What’s your method to calculating? Because technically, goals this season in the nhl are harder to come by than last season. Thus a 40 goal season this year might be closer to a 50 goal season last year. It’s dumb to consider or even waste a bar conversation about. Please don’t do it again

I watch all my NHL for free and we can watch any game we want Home/Away Feed.. I think i can speak for alot of us that do this, we'd pay for the service if the price was reasonable and there be no blackouts for any game by any team.

It's pretty special that 2 Gretzky records were broken in less than a week by two hockey greats. Sidney Crosby clinched a 20th season averaging at least a point per game on Thursday, April 3rd, passing Wayne Gretzky for the most in NHL history. Three days later on Sunday, April 6th, Alex Ovechkin scored his 895th career goal surpassing Gretzky for the most all time. It's a great time to be a hockey fan.

It is a bad time to remind Adam on his "it's a good time to be a fan" comment that the Team Canada saga stuff with the world junior team trial stuff is just around the corner (May)? The NHL has has some wins to start off 2025, but the storm for them is coming and it will overshadow the playoffs for a bit which is unfortunate (but necessary).

Just on the subject of "Columbus was always bad," they really weren't. I'm a Pens fan, and the games against the Blue Jackets were absolute wars during the cup seasons. My favourite player, Malkin has said that they just hate them tough team to win against in that era, and even when they were a first round out, they were competitors (ask the Lightning.)
