  1. No. Necas is paid just right. The Avs, most underrated and underpaid player, is Joel Kiviranta. The dude is paid 775,000, has 16 goals, 7 assists, and +/- of +17. On the third and 4th lines.

  2. For the Canucks it could also be Pius Suter. There's a reason he's called the Swiss army knife. Plays in all situations, PK powerplay and with the injuries and trades has been elevated to a number 1C role

  3. Protas is a good choice for Washington, and he's the right choice if you factor in contract length. But if you're looking just at this season, Connor McMichael at 2.1 million might be the better choice.

  4. Outside the obvious for the Canucks i think you could also put pius suter or Kevin lankinen or even Sherwood as they’ve all had fantastic seasons on a Canucks team that hasn’t had much team success this season

  5. Tuch is awesome and would love to resign him, but I think Tage Thompson being second in the league in goals for 7.8 per year would make him a better candidate for this list. Either way good video.

  6. You can see why the Oilers are a great team!
They have multiple players on that list, Kesselring, Foeggele and Holloway, congrats to the Oilers GM, well done!

  7. Lol, mate, you choose Bouchard over Draisaitl?
Oilers have the best goalscorer and a MVP candidate signed for 8,5m this season, by far their best contract!

  8. Really hope Dorofeyev can keep a 25 goal or so a season pace. He's really stepped up to replace Marchessault.

  9. Idk if forsling a defensive defender have you seen the points that he put up not to long ago but this year he’s played a bit more defensive but I think ekblad is a defensive defender💪👍

  10. Unfortunately this year Bouchard tends to hurt the team far more then he has helped with a lot of his points being easy secondary assists which are ok but it’s been so bad that anytime there is a defensive breakdown or a huge mistake it’s almost always been Bouchard

  11. Oilers most underpaid player is Draisaitl by a mile. He is still on his old contract this season

  12. Love these videos! I always wonder how many players are being paid for buyouts and the info along with it, I'd enjoy a video along the lines of that if possible!

  13. Video idea : Do best overpaid players. Let me explain. While talking about Brendan Gallagher in the « sortie de zone » podcast, Stéphane Waite said that yes, Gallagher as a very bad contract at 6.5 millions / year, but that out of all the bad contracts in the league, he would take Gallagher all day for the energy he brings at every game and his veteran presence. Plus he has a pretty good season this year with 20 goals and has 11 pts in last 10 games I think. Actually the whole habs 3rd line with Dvorak and Anderson can be considered overpaid, but they still were the habs 2nd most effective line tbis year. The thing is that probably every team has bad contracts and there are « good » bad contracts and « bad » bad contracts. So yeah this is where the idea is from.

  14. I would have said Joseph Woll for the leafs. 766k goalie who has given the leafs a respectable .906 sv% with a 12.5 GSAx . Even his extension of 3×3.667 is looking great. He also took on a massivve workload in Stolarz's absence and was phemonenal.

  15. I would be interested to know if there are limitations to Matt Duchene's current contracts for the duration of the buyout period (or that contract's original expiration date).

  16. Geekie is a decent pick for the Bruins Let's see how he does without Pasta 🍝.
Otherwise, Pasta is probably the most underpaid player in Boston @$11.25. He could be getting $14+ mil aav elsewhere

  17. You are on crack picking Bouchard, if Edmonton traded him for a bag of pucks I’d celebrate, USELESS DEFENDER

  18. I love sports, but I also think no matter how good an athlete you are you should not be making more than service members and teachers the people that make our society work

  19. Thank you for shining some light on Montembeault, he's been so solid this season. There's some players in Detroit who are still shivering anytime they see his face, he made them look like freakin half-blind stormtroopers last night.

  20. Remember when the red wings decided to sign Compher and Christian fischer instead of trocheck? Pepperidge farm does.

  21. If you ever read my comment, I just wanted to provide a little feedback, since I think I might not be the only one in this situation : these videos are my favourites, but it would be cool if you included the players’ stats for the year prior (or maybe even the last two). It would be easy to accomplish with a simple screenshot from DB (I am not aware of copyright shenanigans, but some channels use them). As much as I love hockey, I live a busy life and cannot afford to follow everything, which means that I barely know at least a few of the players. Adding just a little bit of extra context would go a long way as far as I’m concerned. Otherwise, ‘’kind words’’
