   I want to see Gibson stay in Anaheim. They could have a fantastic tandem as they fight to make the playoffs for the first time in 8 years.

   No I think they'll keep Anderson for one more year, he's been a great depth guy this year and has earned his spot for next season especially cause they'll want to win next year and Flo is further out than people think.

   Nobody will want Holl even at half retained. He might as well be bought out or buried in the minors for his last year. Hoping someone will take Tarasenko at half salary for his last year on his contract. I’d like to see Rasmussen, Burgeren, or one of Copp/Compher moved to get actual talent

   Could see Tarasenko to Chicago in a deal involving a sign and trade offer with Donato. Details would be something like:

   CHI: Vladimir Tarasanko, Justin Holl 50% Retained (by Penguins), 2026 1st Round Pick, 2026 5th Round Pick

   DET: Ryan Donato (5×4.5),

   PIT: 2028 6th Round pick

   Chicago gets a top 6 talent for Bedard here. Even if it doesn't work out, they could always get another pick for him at the deadline and flip him while also getting some pretty draft capital for the next season. Holl is there just basically as a cap dump in which brings me into Detroits side. Your getting a middle 6 center in Donato under the same AAV as Tarasanko and get an extra 3 million free in cap space. Allowing them to sign a defenseman in free agency.

   Man what happened to Reichel? This man had like 15 points in 23 games at like 19 years of age in the NHL. Thats a 54 point pace in an 82 game season. I think he's honestly a hidden gem. Would like to see a team like Calgary, Seattle, or San Jose take a swing on him. I imagine his value isn't really that high at the moment and probably isnt loving Chicago right now all things considered. I still see his floor at a 35-40 point middle 6 winger considering he has like 25-30 point pace on CHICAGO's 4th line. But who knows? Maybe him getting a chance in a team like Calgary to play top 6 pp1 minutes can show those flashes of a 50+ point player again

    Demko likely goes to Detroit, with LA or Anaheim secondary choices. He’ll pick so Vancouver won’t get much in return, and if Detroit wants him to be a 1A/B with Cossa, they’ll resign him to his last contract too. Talbot or Mrazek will be in the deal. Bank it. If Detroit wants him, that’s where he’s going.

    Detroit is going very young next season, so they’ll likely take a step backwards. Compher, Holl, Chiarot, Tarasenko are all gone.

    The main goal is to find a partner for Seider or Edvinsson, Johansson will be the other in the Top 4, then to go after and sign Ryan Lindgren to be Sandin-Pellikka’s partner next season on their 3rd pairing. If ASP proves he can play 20 mins a night, he’ll play with Edvinsson and Lindgren can move with Seider. Then Johansson and the Dman they trade for will be the 3rd pairing.

    Big thing is the two they bring in need to be interchangeable. Lindgren is perfect to play with ASP after what he did with Fox in NY. That other Dman? They’ll trade for York, Risto, Samberg, etc. it’ll be a true high end role player on D.

    At forward, they’re going really young. If they do take that step backwards for a year, having a shot at McKenna or Stenberg won’t be a bad thing. Then they’ll be ready to go in 2026. All those young forwards will have an NHL year under their belt, and the D will be one of the best blue lines in the game with Seider and Edvinsson getting ready to enter their prime.

    If we so trade Gibby I get it, I'll be sad but I get it. That said he deserves to win so anywhere where he could make the playoffs would be less painful

    Hear me out if Boston wants to really blow it up and commit to rebuild, could cbj be a good trade partner? Cbj 1st, Wild 1st, Elvis and severson for mcavoy and swayman. Maybe a 3rd team to be a broker for cap space. Cbj gets Dman help and hope swayman bounces back. Bruins get 3 firsts this year. Who knows maybe sevo and Elvis bounce back in different systems

    Demko could use a change of scenery, imo. Canucks signing Lankinen – a decent back-up – to that huge extension was… questionable. The Allvin/Rutherford FO is not to be trusted.

    You had something pretty close to what I was guessing about Gibson.
    I think Columbus buys out Merzlikins (his buyout penalty is only like $1.6m AAV) and then send a package to Anaheim for Gibson. Maybe using the Minnesota 1st they have and an older prospect (either a goalie or a forward who has middle 6 potential, but can't crack the Blue Jackets forward corps)

    I think a interesting trade would be for Anaheim would be Laine + MTL's 1st Rounder for Gibson + ANA's 1st Rounder (if Pick is 8-10th)

    Nah, I don't see Jordan Spence getting traded. I think he works well as a 3rd pair 2-way D with significant upside. If we had significant cap pressure, he could be a cap casualty, but we don't have a ton of re-signing to do in the offseason. We don't really have any RD prospects ready to move into the NHL anyway.

    I don’t see Tarasenko getting dealt until next seasons deadline, especially if he can get off to a good start next year, and retain 50% and being the deadline his value will go up

    I would be upset if Andy left.

    He brings a lot of value to the team especially in terms of energy and physicality.
    This team needs strong leaders like Andy and Gally as the young guys step in.. they set the tone for the culture that, in my opinion, is what has gotten them as far as they are this season.

    Love Dvo and Armia, but they’re the ones that should be moving to make space, not Andy and Gally.

    I predict:
    Tarasenko will be dealt to a contender for a 2nd
    Gibson to Toronto or Detroit
    Reichel will stay in Chicago, worth less than a 3rd round pick now
    Domi will try his hardest to stay with Matthews even if it costs league minimum
    Ryan O'Reilly to Panthers/LA
    Josh Anderson stays put

    As a hawks fan I don’t know why Reichels playing on the 4th line. If you watch him he’s got the speed and you can see the flashes of skill. They need to at least get him on the third line and some half decent linemates

    I really hope the Hawks don’t trade Reichel. He’s a really solid player with great speed, but unfortunately he has just been the victim of circumstance. He’s has been very unlucky with terrible coaches/schemes that do not adhere to his skill set. He’s got one more year on his contract let him play it out, and hopefully the hawks new coach knows how to properly utilize him.

    Other players could replace Anderson points production wise, but for his role I'd don't see anyone yet upfront in the system who's ready to take that step, yea his salary is too high but if you accept his role 3rd line, checker, north-south heavy hitter, standup for his teamates 15-20 goals pace he's good, he always work hard the thing that held him back was his lack of finishing and creativity but on a 3rd line no prob. keeping him.

    After seeing Tarasenko play this season, I can't see any team taking him. He is washed, unfortunately. Same with Holl, he would be better served in the A. Can't wait to see what Stevie has in store for us this summer….
