  1. If Lou's not gone within a week of the seasons end it will show the fans that ownership has checked out. I would think at this point season ticket holders would stop renewing their seats. Why do you think all of our prospects in collage are staying in collage?

  2. I was onboard with keeping Roy because I felt with a better roster he’d have more success but I think for this team to start a winning culture again outside of roster moves, a new coaching staff is necessary, Gerard gallant is available, bring him in let him assemble his own staff and start from there, I really pray that we luck out with a lottery pick but doubt it.

  3. Gil, why don't you call out the owners and invite them for a live interview so we can call in and also ask questions. I know they will not do this. My only question to them would be WHY have you let an 80 year old person run your business? Clearly you did not make your money in the sports business making decisions like this.

  4. You said all that needs to be said in the first 12 seconds of this podcast. I turned the game off after the 1st period. This group has no fight left in it.

  5. Rangers fan here

If Roy get's the boot, rangers should scoop him up if peterson gets the 🗑

  6. The Rangers were embarrassed in the 3rd period to the Flyers the game before, the Islanders should have known the Rangers would be looking to take it out on them.

  7. Anybody who was watching this game over the NCAA Frozen 4 isn't a REAL hockey fan. The college game is soooooo much better than both those teams put together. RIP NY Islanders

  8. May have lost count after 8 but Pelech and Pulock were on for at least 6. I think Mayfield has more hockey sense than those 2 combined. And they have no trade clauses. Ok then waivers, please.

  9. Let’s hope this pushes Lou out. How much worse could it get? Also I don’t want to give up on Roy but let’s start over. Also was a gamble starting that goalie. When i tuned in in the second they had out shot and out hit the Rangers at 5-0. Rangers aren’t making it either and Montreal is going to give someone some trouble in the first round.

  10. I checked the score and saw 4-0 after the 1st. My wife asked if i wanted to put the game on. I said "and watch this?". There is no going forward with the same aging team. Big changes need to be made

  11. Hi Gil! This beating was well deserved! They’ve had no push back all year, they’ve allowed players to get run at, goalies to get run at—plastered to the boards, head shots, slashes all year. They were so exposed last night for a heartless and gutless professional team. There are plenty of guys that have gotta go—Pullock and Pellech are shot! Lee deserves a chance to win—like Nelson. Jg has got to move on. Mayfield is just bad! Fasching can keep his million dollar goal. No punch, no speed, no push back. I hope it’s the last time in our history we enter a season without a true enforcer and sandpaper. To lose like this is a reflection on the Gm and coach. I’m not sure what to think of Roy anymore. I’d give him the reigns but this team is bad and I just can’t blame him. This is on the owners who are ripping fans off and are clearly Money grubbers. We got suckered with a new arena that is a 10 mile hike. We got suckered with 40 bars and our “Legendary tailgates” were taken away. They literally stole our lunch money and lollipops all the same. Just the other day they ripped us off with the $45 hidden fee—man ya look real bad!! Ya take away the pre-game warm up for the kids—-absolutely deplorable! Our season ticket holders must make a statement! Yes I agree Gil—Louless must be removed—-I agree Gil I can’t do that to Roy either—yet it’s confusing. They have their summer vacations set—-they don’t want an injury nor black eyes. Quit? Oh hell yea!! ——To get the pure stench out of my mind and heart, I saw the game 5 Morrow OT winner in 84–the Anniversary was yesterday. Take care Gil—-Islander fans truly deserve better. We are known for our passion and heart—because of the Dynasty teams——-that has been lost and it’s a slap in the face to true die hards and that legendary and iconic team. If there is another year of Louless? I think I’ll pass.

  12. Hey Gil – I'm just done with this team and it's owners and beyond done with it's coaching staff, minor league team and most importantly it's senile, out of touch and horrible GM and Preseident Louzer Lamearello. The owners got their arena, park and retail space but they forgot what got them those things and it was the NHL team they bought to win games, playoff rounds and eventually the Stanley Cup. That brings me to our useless and our of touch general manager Lou , This is a guy who was brought in to bring this team back to being good and back to the dynasty level we once were and he has done anything but that. lets go down the list of things he's done right because it's few and far between – He signed Robin Lehner, Traded for Kyle Palmieri and Travis Zajak, Traded for Andy Greene, Traded for Bo Horvat, Traded for JG Pageau and drafted some good players who haven't even come close to cracking the team and lastly he traded Brock Nelson who is a UFA at seasons end. Now lets list all the bad moves this dinosaur has done – He failed to resign John Tavares, failed to resign Robin Lehner, Failed to resign guys like Derrick Brassard and Valterri Filpulla and even Leo Komorov. He traded Devon Toews and kept Nick Leddy, He brought in Semyon Varlamov who had a very long injury history now you know why nobody wanted him, He brought it Zdeno Chara just to sell tickets for 1 year, He traded for Engvall and then signed him to a rediculous contract in both years and dollar amount, signed tons of guys off the scrap heap like Duclair, Hogberg, Perunavich, Deangelo and never mind Firing Trotz, Hiring Lambert along with his Devils Cronnies as asst coaches and now the hiring Patrick Roy who was not a working coach in any level when the phone rang. Lou never takes responsibility and the owners never hold his foot to the fire and they make the fans look like clowns for continue to support this team and if these changes aren't made I"M done rooting for a team who doesn't give a shit about my money and thus I will route for another team who cares about me and my $$$.

  13. It tied the record? Lol, I thought it beat the record. Oh well, no sense in crying over spilt milk, there’s always next season. PS. I’ll be 53 on the 14th of this month and I’ve learned that it’s only a hockey game Gil, it’s LGI!

  14. Embarrassing doesn't even begin to cover what occurred on the ice last night!
The Islanders were clearly not ready to play against a team they should always be amped up face.
If major changes to this organization from top to bottom are not made this off-season I don't know what I will do with myself next season. 😡

  15. To be fair. Hogberg was brutal. The team did give a good effort. Where is Varlamov? Witness protection? He disappeared. Lou has no backup to Sorokin.

  16. I officially renounce this New York Islanders hockey team and coaching staff that allowed the New York ranger stiff‘s to score 9 goals in their own building without any retaliation.
