I dipped into my funds and got myself a quarter season ticket package for the current season and have also renewed it for the upcoming season…. sitting in Canada Life Centre, watching Helle and the boys get ready for the games, there is not much better than that. I come early and just take it all in….. the fandom here is amazing and it's a very loud building when we're loving on our MVP Helle or even giving standing ovations for the fabulous penalty kill. Our boys have spoken about it, as have the coaches, of how knowledgeable the fans are here and of how much they get into the game. I can vouch for this!
Everybody needs to get to a game or two, there are often deals like $50 for a seat from different sites so it's affordable live entertainment.
I got a ticket for the 2nd playoff game, got my whites ready to go for that day, but 1st I'll be in the barn for the upcoming Jets vs Oilers game on Sunday!
My gut tells me this is a special year… Ducky is smiling down on what our boys are doing and also on the great job Scott Arniel and the coaches are doing! I believe the stars are aligning for a very special playoff run for this team!

Damn This brought me to tears hearing about the love for Winnipeg. I was 8 years old too or so when Jet's 1.0 left Manitoba. It was sad day. That day against the Detroit Red Wings.

Your points in Helly for Hart were spot on. We expect the forwards to do or exceed what they have accomplished. Hellebuyck is doing something historic. Also the culture of winning and value of the banners are huge, even if we get bounced in the first round.

The Jets has a chance to make it at least the 3rd round provided that they win the 1st and take advantage in the 2nd round against a very beat up Dallas/Colorado team. After that its anybody's game. I could see the Oilers vs Jets 3rd round. The Oilers will have all their guys return from injury, so don't count them out.
I'm not a fan of how the jets arena only sells out when they are successful. Even when they are playing well, they have had issues with ticket sales.
My question is, why is the barn only full when they are top of the west ? Maybe I'm wrong , but it seems jets fans are fair weather.
Somwthing ro note about Hellebuyck playing the puck, hea gotten quite a bit better this year at it.

The title is flat out wrong. Plenty of guys wanted to play in Winnipeg. And the team is consistently very good, with 4 solid lines. But no team is ‘unstoppable’. If anyone wants useful hockey information and analysis, go to The Hockey Guy.

Some unnamed teams are very top heavy and have a very weak bottom 6, or bottom pairing or goaltending. Not in Winnipeg.

Nobody still wants to play in Winnipeg. It’s a dump. Not a major league city by any means. Players go there thinking the club is going to relocate soon.

As a Habs fan, I would smile broadly if the Jets won the cup, bringing it home to Canada.
However, FFS, could you go back to looking like the original NHL Jets (Hawerchuk era)? I personally HATE these light blue sweaters. I like the logo (except that it's the silhouette of an F-16 which the RCAF has NEVER had) but I think it would do better as a shoulder patch. Put that awesome Jets logo on your hat back on the front of the sweaters where it belongs with the original Red/White/Blue colour scheme. I used to love everything about the Jets sweaters, including the cool way that the logo's colours reversed from the home whites to the away blues.
It was an iconic, timeless and fantastic HOCKEY uniform. It was solid and beautiful without trying to be glamourous. It should never have been changed because that uniform was an integral part of the Winnipeg Community that you speak of. I remember being so happy when the Blue Bombers went back to looking like the Blue Bombers.
Great video! I used to be a cynical Winnipeg Jet fan. I decided to go to a few games earlier this year and got seats down along the glass. I was blown away how entertaining it was to be that close. Something "clicked" and I bought a pair of season tickets right down in the attack area in the 2nd row. I will be there for every home playoff game this year and I'm proud to support them. The big difference I see this year over the past, the Jets fear no team this year and the players have bought in to a solid system. My one and only concern …. injuries. If the Jets are healthy…they are Stanley Cup Champions this year… GO JETS GO !!!!
