@Wild du Minnesota

#nhl #hockey

  1. I’m so happy to have been a part of this night. Between the playoff implications and the possibility of seeing Fleury play again, I knew this wasn’t one to miss. Thank you for a game to remember! Onto the playoffs!

  2. I recently compared MAF to Adam Wainwright when I was talking to a friend who knows nothing about hockey and I’d say that’s a great comparison. Intensely lovable person who finishes his career setting milestones. I’ll miss Flower so much. He’s always been my favorite goalie

  3. Watched his rookie debut. My son wore his number for years. Pittsburgh legend. Hockey legend. MAF 🌼

  4. A great way to end the season. You have Ovi with 896 goals plus if he gets any against the Pens, and Fleury with a send off win. Two legends bringing the hockey world together in appreciation.

  5. I’m a leaf fan and knowing Mark Andre Fleury will be gone. Makes me sad. He didn’t even play for us though, but he was great.

  6. Vintage pad stack poke check 😭😭😭😭 there's something in my eye!!!! I think its flower pollen!!! 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

  7. While Fleury was playing in OT Gus probably went to the locker room and filled Fleury's dress shoes with vaseline and took the tires off his car.

  8. Damn getting older is a sad thing. So many great moment this guy gives us since his first ever season, those cups, those jokes, smiles. Hall of fame asap Fleury, what a carrer.

  9. I couldn't watch this without crying- I'm a pens fan. And im hoping we get a hockey miracle and get a caps vs. Wild cup final – ovie and flower for one last dance

  10. Marc-Andre deserves a long happy retirement and easily a spot in the HOF. What an absolute legend.

  11. Fleury is a true entertainer. He knows how to stop the puck, and give us a real show while doing so!

  12. Going to miss that Flower, classy. I so remember him and the Pens winning the Cup with my late wife. Him making a HUGE save in the dieing seconds, getting interviewed right after and he was GOLD in the interview. He was GREAT for Hockey and just a class guy. Nice move by Gus and the Wild also.

  13. VGK fan here, much ❤ to Flower. I reckon that Gus will be doing most of the heavy lifting against Vegas, but if we do see Flower minding the net, it will definitely be a great show. Still a lot of love for MAF in Vegas.

  14. What about the goalie that did all the work. Fleury is a dick for coming in just for the OT win. They try to make people think these people are special in some way. You play a game for a living and get paid far too much because people are stupid and pay a fortune for tickets.

  15. The "final" game a few days ago with his kids on the ice was a beautiful tribute but i felt it was lacking somehow and you could tell he was disappointed in his performance despite the win. This OT win tuesday night gave what was missing before. The happiness on his face while on ice and the joy in his play was what was lacking. He was excited and everyone else wanted this win for him more than anything else. Fleury was the reason i started watching hockey again. I became bored by it and it had been years since i had watched an entire game. My husband made me watch an episode of weird nhl and its feature was the pranks players pull on each other. I loved it and started searching for more of the same. I noticed that fleury was always in them and i decided to watch him play a game or two. It was during the second year in vegas and ive followed him ever since. I just loved to watch him play and his personality and the leagues love for him got me hooked.
I dont know what ill do now that hes retiring. I kind of didnt want him to but i get it. Its time. I hope he finds something truly fulfilling and comes back someday in some capacity in the nhl. I feel blessed to have had this time to watch him play.

  16. Love MAF. I'm a Blackhawks fan and I'd been a fan of his for ages and even though it was brief I was so excited and honored that he played for my team for a moment. I got to get his autograph on a jersey and I love it

  17. If da Pens had another goalie besides MA Fluffy…they would have won 2 more cups

His SC Finals record was 1-2-2

    1 win
    2 losses
2 didn't play…sat in the stands with his family

    Adios Marcy Ann

  18. He is forever a legend here in Vegas. He was our first star and helped take us to the cup final in year one. That will never be forgotten. I'm looking forward to round 1.

  19. Really sad to see Flower go. Glad however that he is doing it while still a top flight player. It’s a bit sad when you see players stick around way past their time. just look at the circus saves during OT. Beauty eh?

  20. MAF: Penguin, Golden Knight, Blackhawk, Wild
Regardless of team: prankster beloved by all
Merci beaucoup Monsieur Fleury pour 21 ans. Salute!!

  21. I think the greatest thing about Fleury is every city he played for has adopted him as an honorary native son. Just like 66, 68, 87, 81, and (many) others, MAF will always be a yinzer. His UPMC commercial was legendary.
