Les Devils du New Jersey et les Hurricanes de la Caroline se réuniront au premier tour des séries éliminatoires de la Coupe Stanley. Ce sont 2 équipes qui ont joué les uns contre les autres il y a 2 ans avec les Hurricanes battant les NJ Devils en 5 matchs. Les Devils ont été dépassés et n’ont rien pu faire en sorte que la dernière fois, une équipe améliorée avec des problèmes de profondeur battait-elle les ouragans cette fois-ci. Les Hurricanes ont été une équipe de haut niveau de la division métropolitaine toute l’année et ont fait un énorme commerce qui a fait venir, puis a perdu Miko Rantanen aux étoiles, mais a ajouté Taylor Hall et Stankhoven pour en profondeur. Nobody is giving the Devils a chance. Most of the "experts" are hyping up the Canes. If the Devils stay patient and play physical could be upset city for the Canes. Lets Go Devils!
This team has more than enough to win this series it is just a matter of which team shows up on the ice tomorrow. They've been playing like a team with a split personality. They can't come out flat or take a period off. They need to assert themselves early in this game.
NJD had a successful overall season. In the beginning they lead the league in some areas. After the injuries to Jack Hughes and Jonas Siegenthaler, and recently Dougie Hamilton, it felt like the bus went off a cliff. They were inconsistent and Coach Sheldon Keefe seemed to have a limited ability to keep them on track. So getting Hamilton back for the playoffs is a plus. Timo Meier has stepped up recently. Markstrom seems to have improved from his recent injury. I think this Carolina team is beatable but most analysts are predicting they take the series. Especially since the series starts in their house and they were 31-9-1 at home. To win the series NJ would have to beat them in Raleigh.

if the devils can beat there canes system split 1-1 in canes home turf then it is anybody series i want the devils to beat the canes.
