Kyperos is insufferable. The Leafs weren't diving. The Sens just lost their heads and were crosschecking everyone as if it was game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final. They have a lot to learn. The Leafs will teach them in 4 games. They'll be better next year.

Refs call penalties, usually in playoffs they let you play, But you still have to know that fine line, the sens took stupid penalties, sorry, foolish, it's still a penalty. Did not blame the refs because you lost, they didn't lose, you did. Period.
So kyper what if that hit put Matthew's out of the playoffs any hit from behind is cheap shot and should be called all day long.

Someone tell Sammy to pay attention. I am not a Habs fan. Since Dec 15 they have a better record than Capitals. That’s 50+ games. The Capitals are a wild card team if they play in Atlantic. There are hardly any good teams in the Metro. I would argue they are all mid. Capitals racked up wins against the garbage of the Metro. Their goalie gave up a .875 save percentage last 15 starts. This team is very close to Montreal. The series is a potential upset for many reasons. I see it going seven games. I said this before the OT loss today. Washington did not dominate the Habs at all this game. Without Ovechkin they lose that game. The real chase for the cup is in the Atlantic like in all of the previous six seasons. The third round will be a bye to the finals for who comes out of second round in Atlantic. Likely the Leafs… hottest team in the NHL and best since mid December.

I think the 5on3 call was made only because Matthew's was hooked twice trying to get puck possession and than the cross check knocked over an already off balance Matthew's.
What Kopper is wanting here. With no calls is why this sport suffers. Letting a team commit infractions without punishment tilts the ice for the team not following the rules.

P. k Subban was chirping about the officiating and that he thought it gave the Leafs ice tilt. Leafs were a much faster team . When there is one team quicker at puck battles usually penalties are called. What I saw was OTT just got out played . To mention I thought they were trying to target some of the leafs players . Stolarz for one. They were going after his knee. You can go hard in but it looked like they were going for him. There were a couple of other ones too. The shot from the point on Knies. Yes the guy was shooting but it looked like he was aiming for him on the replay. Ott is a dirty team. Leafs better be prepared tonight man. I want to see 2-0. Killer instinct .
Bunch of offended Leafs fans in these comments. Tanev’s and Matthews’ calls didn’t need to be made in the playoffs—that’s the point. Don’t expect to get those calls all playoffs long.
After going back through the box score, the first penalty against Stutzle was a weak call that typically would have been made up for with non-calls later in the game. Refs just locked their jaws around their whistles instead. As much as I enjoyed the Leafs dominating on power plays, the game should have had more 5-on-5.
