  1. I don''t know about the rest of you, but I am not watching the Rangers next season if Mika, Kreider and K'andre Miller are still here.

  2. Drury has made good moves, but the bad moves he has made are noticeably really bad. For example, he is responsible for arguably the worst trade in Rangers history, giving up Pavel Buchnevich for nothing. And ironically the Rangers have constantly been trying to find a RW for Mika these past contending years. He would have been perfect.

  3. if boomer thinks all the veterans who make money are coming back how are they going to make changes to the roster?

  4. FYI, Drury didn't sign Trouba to that 7 year contract, it was Gorton. Drury was stuck with figuring out how to get that contract off the books.

  5. I don't know how the same core players go from winning the president's Trophy and then provide us with this sinker of a season. I just hope they can turn it around quickly.

  6. was watching the playoff game and Morgan Barron knocking guys off their skates crashing the net having fun. He was the rangers only true C prospect that Drury through in to get a rental cobb. DRURY MUST GO. otherwise the stink is still on this team.

  7. Sorry but it's time to move on from Kreider, K Miller and Mika…they've left a bad taste in alot of people's mouths. In my 60 years of being a fan of this team I will never forget this disgraceful season and how they quit. Are we supposed to feel sorry for them now after hearing there post season interviews, excuses. How bout 1 of them saying that they feel bad for the fans and that they're sorry for the fans that had to watch this crap. Just how I feel, this was tough to watch this season

  8. The highlight of this podcast: "I'm a Joel Quenneville guy".
It's time to give this man a chance to get back in the NHL.
Let's start with that and go from there. Quenneville is a proven winner. And the New-York Rangers need a coach of his stature.
By the way, Quenneville was the coach when Panarin played in Chicago for his rookie year and the next one. 😉
So, there was no issue there with development of a young player who was given the chance to play on the top line with Patrick Kane right from the start. And the rest is history as Panarin has already 870 points on his resume.
    Just saying!
When Quenneville was punished by the League (for the actions of someone else) the Florida Panthers were already back on track under his wing.

  9. Good job boys! I hate that the rangers were not discussed at the end of the season on the regular show, but this was good. I would love to see Jay Pandalfo get an interview for HC. Pandolfo has been running a great program at Boston University and as a player he won 2 cups and had a great career. His Collegiate experience would help him relate to some of these young guys that we have that we need to start playing.

  10. The way the fans turned on Trouba who was the heart and soul, playing on a broken foot and carrying the team is a disgrace. That coupled with the goodrow situation and the 2nd year of a coach who always gets fired in his 2/3rd year every time is what did the team in. They kept saying they wanted toughness, and then the players who were tough were benched ridiculed and then dumped. Even Rempe, they would tell him they need him to be physical and then get upset with him when he got physical.😂 yes, sometimes he went overboard just like any player would when they are in the heat of the moment on the ice trying to win. You have to take the good with the bad and this team has a reputation of being easy to play against and pretty gutless so getting rid of the only toughness the team has is an easy way to destroy a great team. Since the day they hired lay down laviolette i expected nothing and I always said they won the president’s trophy despite Laviolette not because of him and by the second year, he had ripped the team apart so much with his double talk about playing tough and then benching tough players The team just folded they got rid of players that they should have kept, and they kept players they should have gotten rid of going into the last month of the season. I was hoping the Rangers would have let Laviolette go and bring in anybody even if it was just to promote from within, so the team knew that there was change coming that the double talk was over. I would like to see Messier rejoin The team either as team president or head coach, but I doubt it because of his relationship with ownership. Bringing back Tortorella or AV does not seem like a bad idea although I don’t know if the current team with its veterans would like it.

  11. Jacob Trouba screwed the Rangers out of a Stanley Cup in 2022 with those 2 back to back stupid penalties in Tampa after Rangers were up 2-0 in the game and the series. Those penalties let Tampa even it up and regain the momentum and ultimately win the series. So I dont wanna hear how people are upset that Trouba was treated badly

  12. oh boy just starting this what a treat Fellas Thank Yall 4 talkin Hockey (Rangers) thank yall now ima listen

  13. 1 more thing James Dolan needs to can Drurys ass ASAP n stop setting us back, its insane his signings , Fire Drury ASAP

  14. i Pray they revamp this Defense somehow, drury signs 2 d men after a couple wins and than they show their true colors on what type of player Uro and Borgan i like borgan as a 3 pair or 2nd slide up n down,

  15. I wish you guys waited till after the break up day interviews to do this podcast!!! Please don't move CK20. He has one bad year filled with injuries and you cut bait? My fear is players who used to want to come here will see the way they treated players undercontract in Trouba and Goodrow will pass on playing here.

  16. Drury did not give Trouba the $8 million contract that he got after coming to the Rangers from Winnipeg. His numbers in Winnipeg did have large offensive statistics. Whatever has happened to Trouba The last several years diluted his ability to play. That’s why he was chosen to be the one to leave to make room for Shesterkin‘s contract.

  17. Thinking back to last year, the longest losing streak was when Goodrow was out injured he was much more valuable than management viewed him.

  18. waiting for him to get on K' Miller. He is a major concern and huge disappointment. I would not sign this guy for big money long-term. Horrible defensively and lazy player.

  19. Typically the coach dictates the systems a team will play. Sounds like some whiny ass players thought it was too hard. What you have is a loser culture and you must clean house top to bottom, because all the money in world will not change that.

  20. Great discussion boys! It's not going to matter who you put in there as a coach as long as you have baby sensitive players being offended by everything. You're professional athletes, grow up! The core of the team did the same thing to Galant!

  21. K' Miller has to be held accountable sooner or later. He is lazy and more than careless. This is not his first season. He hasn't learned. He makes the same type of sloppy play in every game. He just seems to shrug his shoulders. I am surprised that JT hasn't let his disapproval be known. How long do you think he would last under a coach like Torts? Sad chapter this season.

  22. Revisionist history. Drury did NOT sign him to that contract. That was on old JD's and Gorton's books. He was miscast from the beginning, he didnt just start sucking last year in the playoffs. He was trash for 80% of his tenure. If his leadership was so stout and devout, why did it fail to translate in Anaheim??? He was a one trick pony. He could catch a guy mid daydream and clobber them with a blindside hit a handful of times per year. All the people that sing his praise, don't watch hockey. They watch youtube compilations of hits.

  23. The players obviously felt like management wasn’t communicating with them and that caused huge problems which isn’t surprising considering this organization doesn’t communicate with fans AT ALL. There’s no reciprocal relationship- it’s a pure business transaction to Drury and it sucks. Other teams do not treat their fans this way. I’m glad it came
Back to bite him in the ass

  24. Please no to Q. I'm tired of these journeymen coaches. Jeff Halpern could be an interesting coaching candidate if TBL would let him go.

  25. I thought you knew hockey Boomer? How long you want to give K-Poke to stop making big turnovers Every Game??Kreids/Mika are SOFT and you don't win a Cup with players like that. You guys forget Zac Jones who with Schneider were the #1 D-Pair 1st half of season.Zac is the best skilled skater, stickhandler, offensive Defenseman and was #1 TOI when Fox got hurt. You two need to learn hockey!!

  26. Hey boomer you bash trochek?
    Who were his linemates
Captain crossice and the invisible man
Neither one of them broke a sweat getting back on defense.
Captain crossice checked out back in january.
    Trochek was all alone.
Did you hear his comments during the season.
    Be consistent
    They all deserve criticizm

  27. Been a NYR fan since '65 (Original Six) and they, excepting a few seasons, have been recognized as a "soft" team. This years version was not only soft, but hard to watch. Reading Zibanejads' terse response to a contract related question tells much of this team. Player development, or lack of it, is another major failing Kaako, Kravtsov, Anderson, Lundkvist, Chytil, all contributed nothing, while Miller & Lafrienere haven't accomplished very much. WTF? I reckon one cup in 85 years says a lot.
