No question it was a penalty. I don’t see the Panthers losing their focus in order to get revenge…………until next season. The Cup is the priority, but it if Hagel sets himself up, that’s playoff hockey.
It's dirty hitting a player who is hidden behind a teammate like that imo, but most people disagreed with me on that in the past. However, the hit was a little late but not egregiously. If you set bias to the side, you realize it happens basically every single game. I think thats a 1 game suspension as someone who doesn't give a flying fuck about either of these teams.
However, you can bet your ass the panthers will be out for revenge, and I wouldn't expect the refs to jump in too quickly.
