Wow Sharks went 3 for 3 and 5 out of 6 shooters scored. Don't think I've seen a team go 3 for 3 before. And such sweet hands by Joe. Couldn't tell exactly what he did really. Did he open up his stick blade faking top shelf short side and then Crawford failed on a poke check? So Joe got an easy one faking front hand back hand with a little ice slider right past him to along the far post? Nice move by Toew's also. Also I think the reason Crawford was slow reacting on the straight 5 hole was because he was really expecting that if the shooter was looking 5 hole then he was going to try and put it somewhere else. He really wasn't guessing that he was going to be looking exactly where he was putting it. It's like a game of rock/papers/scissors with these guys and he just went rock all 3 times… They call that an avalanche 🙂
Crawford was bad in the shootout but he does not suck. He has been the only reason the hawks have even been in most games since he's come back from injury. He has played very well as of late.
