  1. I'm really holding out that the Rangers go after David Carle from Denver. Two NCAA titles plus two more Frozen Fours in seven years. Add on two world junior golds. All the guy does is win. As a bonus he's got experience with Gabe Perreault and the Rangers desperately need him to develop into a top 6 forward.

  2. I assume the PWHL will do 2 teams if they expand. Going from 6 to 7 feels a bit weird. Though I guess the NHL had 14 teams in the West and 16 in the East for 16 years

  3. Stan Fishler, NY hockey historian says NYR should hire Joel Quennevile. Commenters said he is. It an option due to Blackhawk scandal.

  4. Everyone with any semblance of intelligence knows that Chris Drury is the Rangers’ problem, not Laviolette. Another Rangers masterclass.

  5. Regarding PWHL expansion to Vancouver, there has been rumours of a rival west coast women's leave being in the works so it's possible the PWHL are fast tracking Vancouver to head that off. Regardless it's clear that Vancouver is a great market for Women's hockey so it was just a matter of when, not if, a team would end up there. I think that Vancouver and Seattle will be this year's expansion and the next round will be Detroit and Pittsburgh, followed by Quebec City and Chicago. 12 teams by 2028 or 2029 would be a prudent expansion plan for the PWHL

  6. Anaheim definitely needs to hire torts. Especially if that was the reason William refused to come to Philly. 😂😂😂😂

  7. 2nd pwhl team to Calgary 🙏 🙏 ik they might want to split it with an American city but cmon. Vancouver is completely isolated from all of western Canada.

  8. When your GM decides to go to war with the locker room and turns a top team into a disaster, the guy that obviously needs to be fired is the head coach. New York is a high prestige bench to stand behind, but I wonder if some coaches look at the mess in that organization and say "Not it!", unless they're of the mind that if they only had them as coach it would all get fixed.

  9. Seattle will likely be the other city for PWHL expansion for next season given the rivalry that could be created between them & Vancouver. After that, I think the league will expand to Detroit & Pittsburgh the following year, followed by another West Coast expansion with Colorado, LA, Vegas & the Bay Area all candidates for a team. Even cities like SLC & Portland should be considered (imagine the rivalry the PWHL could have if they added a team in Portland & that team becomes instant rivals with Seattle & Vancouver similar to how it is in MLS between those 3 cities).

  10. As a Ducks fan, it was a very pleasant surprise to wake up to! From what I knew of Verbeek, he didn't seem like the type of GM to fire head coaches as much as he would not extend them (see Eakins). Aside from that, you kinda have to factor in the external noise to really paint a picture of what's happened with Cronin. There had been reports from Ilya Lyubushkin about his antics in the locker room, same with some of the youth expressing their concerns, and then there's Jakob Silfverberg giving a very similar message. On the ice, if you look under the hood a bit, this team bled High Danger Shots Against (1st in the league) and is the 2nd worst team 5 on 5 if you look at xG share and xGA. Their record this year more reflects how much Dostal and Gibson stood on their heads than it does Cronin's coaching prowess. Take away goaltending and the Ducks are a legit lottery team once again. Again, him being relieved was a pleasant surprise and a much needed one.

  11. Ding tortorella….. imagine 😂 in nyr……
Ducks probably something croft that coached the oilers drawing a blank o woodcroft thank you comment section. Hope nobody signs quennville.

  12. Good ol Lavi. I loved him when he coached my flyers…had some great playoff series wins with him. Then he got fired a few games into a season for having what Mr Ed Snider said was the worst training camp he'd ever seen.
I still remember the HBO series 24/7 Rangers Flyers. "I want to see you rip your heart out of your f***ing chest!"~Lavi. 😂

  13. Laviolette has overstayed his welcome in this league. He needs to be done. Same with Torts.

  14. You can only get so much ride out of a set of tires on your car. Yet NHL teams keep hiring fired coaches all the time. Sometimes a coach who has a history of losing the dressing room might not be a good choice for your coach.

Shannon your channel is great, I commend you on how you bring it to life each and every day.

  15. How Drury survived the handling of Trouba is mind boggling, and I'm definitely NOT a Rangers fan, it clearly divided that team.

  16. I'm glad that Cronin got the opportunity. I suspect the youth core starting to develop was the sign it was time to move on. Cronin was serviceable as a head coach for a lottery team. Now that the Ducks look to be a playoff team next season, it was time for an improvement in the coaching. With the right coach, this team could make some large strides. Who is the modern day version of Ron Wilson or Bruce Boudreau? (I.e. great at turning teams from average to above average… instilling a winning culture?)

  17. I will say, while the allegations against Panarin are not ok and should be grounds for dismissal, they're nowhere close to as bad as most times we hear "sexual assault"

  18. If the remaining games in the Kings-Oilers serires are anywhere near like game 1, then that's really going to be entertaining.
