Scott and Joe Thornton are first cousins…
Top ten don’t know. So many amazing ones. Top ten Canadian centers definitely.
Great vid. I'm sorry I never paid more attention to his career (I'm in the Toronto-centric market). I knew him to be a great player. Now I know why. I'm glad he made it to the finals in 2016.
The Bruins have a knack for ruining top draft choices.
Very interesting. It was always goals being the focus but this was extremely informative… being such a passer and such a positive leader on the team! So great!
Thornton my all-time favorite!!
He would have deserved the cup.
The unselfish genius making his teammates great.
THE PLAYMAKER.
Not to mention he's a super nice guy.
legenday 🙂 thank you for digging this out! <3
I didn’t know Joe was that good! But then I didn’t get to see him play very much. He deserves the HOF.
Thornton and Marleau, 2 of the greatest non-cup careers
Thornton is a hall of famer
Hey this kid Joe is finally coming around let's trade him
If you're expecting to see a video comprised of no look passes guess again. This video is a history of Joe Thorton, his coaches and other random garbage. Don't waste your time
He was a great player but people are always going to remember that he was captain of SJ when they blew a 3-0 series lead to the Kings. Whether that's fair or not, he has a reputation as a guy who could never get it done.
Maybe show the actual passing and not the goal scoring
Pretty sure Gretzky was the best passer….
Something to the effect of "If I scored four goals in a game id be beating off"….. I forget his exact words, but that was Joe's legendary defense of rookie Thomas Hertl's extravagant goal celebration. What a way to draw the criticism to him and take the pressure of the kid.
