If Bupkis wants to take a few weeks off to address his personal problems, that's fine with me. Bourne and McKee would do just fine.
Hockey is great when there's clean hitting. The bully approach of players reminds me of what's wrong with the world right now. Bully in the white house. Bullies on the ice. Extremes! When I player has the puck he can be hit. Not 2 seconds after he passes the puck. Not when he's skating towards a play – Like Barkov last night. Cross checking should be reduced during play and after the whistle. After the whistle crap needs to be reduced. Take off the one instigator. And then the players know what the limits are. Because right now the more a team gets away with the garbage, the more you allow a team to take liberties and often win Ie winning the wrong way.

All of the Core 4 has been quiet at times, they've all got more to give. But honestly Matthews and Marner sitting at 5 & 6 points respectively after 3 games & significantly more defensive zone starts & killing penalties, I will take that any day! Willy specifically I suspect he might be nursing a bit of a minor injury that's slowing him down a bit, likely a groin or something.
Good pointy by Sammy about Matthew and Marner producing but not making it aesthetically pleasing. Marner looks tired all the time and he's not moving his feet enough through the neutral zone. But I mean the guy has 6 points and made one of the nicest passes of the season; what more can I ask for?
