Your videos popped up after I showed up last year. Panthers fan here but I enjoy hearing your takes on the game. Regarding the Hagel hit, I disagree with your opinion. If you look at Hagel before the hit, he does not take his eyes off Barkov and he does not even care where the puck is at that moment. He also goes completely off the ice and leaves his feet. Sure, it may have been shoulder to shoulder or shoulder to chest, but it was an interference call and not an illegal check to the head. The intent to injure was clearly there, which is the point of the 5 minute major, and like some of these comments said, if it was someone from the panthers that made this hit on someone like Kucherov, you wouldn't bother to entertain anyone that says it should be 2 minutes. You should really shut this channel down pal. You have no idea what you're talking about. You don't have any knowledge of hockey. You try to pin the blame on everything else except the lightning played like s*** in both games. No flow in their game and no discipline. Tampa is a one-trick pony with out kucherov they're just an average team in Florida has totally shut him down. He's invisible out there. So you can keep on complaining about the refs and that clean hit on barkov. You better get used to it because Florida is not going to stop coming at them in the end result will show. I think when you stop the tape like you have it now, Look at his shoulder meet with Barkovs chin and he crumples to the ice. I understand playoff hockey let the boys play but when the refs are trying keep the series under control you’re going to see it as if it’s a regular season game since it’s game 2. Especially higher profile players like Barkov getting injured there’s going to be more of an uproar than a Nico Sturm or Jesper Boqvist getting hit (Evan Rodrigues last year got chicken winged by Trouba in the ECF and received a fine only). Draisaitl also only received a fine last year for his chicken wing on Barkov in the final and only got a 2 minute penalty. A 5 for that is almost always grounds for suspension with an injury
Hilarious seeing the coping bolts comments try and blame the refs. When your top scorers combined for a couple shots on goal, through an entire game, you know you got shut out and beat fairly and square, yet so many fans in the comments online in general are coping to the absolute maximum.

Five minutes comes from the fact that he didn’t have the puck in his possession or even anywhere around him. Also comes from the violence of the hit. You didn’t see a five minute major because you don’t want to see one it’s you against your team.

Hagel skates left the ice, blindsided Barkov who didn’t have the puck, and he targeted his head with a shoulder. 100% a major and should be a fine. Very dirty hit playoffs or not

Panthers fan here. I’m only gonna briefly address the 5 minute major itself and nothing else because I think it’s important. Please Talkin Tampa I hope you read but it will be kind of a long one.
The reason I think they called it a major isn’t because of any head collision but because of rule 56.4 on interference calls which states “56.4 Major Penalty – The Referee, at his discretion, may assess a major penalty, based on the degree of violence, to a player guilty of interfering with an opponent”
Now I don’t really agree with that rule in particular because it is bad that you are leaving something as vague as “degree of violence” in the discretion of the referee.
As far as the hit goes, yes obviously as a Panthers fan I hate it, but I also understand why you don’t agree with the call made. I’m all for the intensity that this series brings, but obviously we don’t want to see people hurt, and we don’t need fan bases attacking each other over it either, because it’s all a game. Cheers man!

Hagel didn't intend to get a 5 minute major with the hit, he intended to lay down a dirty hit on one of the panthers top players resulting in the major.
