He got in locker room argument incident with Patrick Kane. I'm a long time Red Wings season ticket holder and I know several people in the organization, who validated this.
Walman took the Zamboni out after LCA turned the lights off and was caught doing donuts on Woodward.
As an Oilers fan, he will be at home here.
I absolutely loved his response
Theres obviously some interpersonal issue with Walman, its actually respectful to Walman for Yzerman not to air the dirty laundry so i actually respect yzerman for the answer
Even before this presser I was wondering who's wife did he bang? It's the most logical explanation to me.
Read the comments Lego and then aim to verify the info. I am friends with a father of one of the off ice staff members. He is extremely tight-lipped. He has probably been warned about any disclosure at all. I wouldn’t be shocked if it was related to making a move on someone who was off limits.
I can't wait until the community stops talking about the Walman trade. Like talking about it is somehow supposed to accomplish something? Yzerman did it for a reason, he obviously doesn't want to trash Walman and explain why he was moved. We need to just let it go, it's getting obnoxious at this point.
If it wasnt yzerman he would have been fired,…if he misses the playoffs next season i hope they do fire him ,…hes on the hot seat
Did Walkman sleep with his daughter lol
Yzerman isn't going to air the team's dirty laundry with the media, and he's not going to throw a guy under the bus just to make himself look better. Some people may find this weird, but that's more of an issue with them than Yzerman.
yeah there's definetly something more there behind the scenes. I think putting him on waivers theres some implications with that move. probably hurts trade value and or potentially hurts Walmans career if no one picks him up. Yzerman mustve needed to trade him.
I kind of feel that he hung Larkin out to dry a bit when he mentioned talking to him, but he wasn’t going to go into it. “It will be up to him if he wants to share it.” It felt a little weird. Then the whole “I was daydreaming and didn’t hear what Todd (McClellan) said”. It was just weird. I got very little confidence from this presser, which I’ve found to be unusual for Stevie Y.
Look, i get it. There were clearly some locker room issues and you wanted him out of there. I dont begrudge Yzerman wanting him out of the room. What I DO begrudge him is not at least checking with other teams to see if he could get value for Walman before tying a draft pick to him. Theres such a thing as due diligence, and Yzerman refused to do it. By all accounts, Yzermans very first phone call was to the Sharks gm to offer a second round pick to offload Walman, and regardless of circumstances that is bad gm'ing. Avisail Garcia slept with Prince Fielders wife while they werr going through divorce proceedings, and the Tiger still managed to recoup Jose Iglesias and a draft pick for him (they also gave up catcher to a different team, it was one of those weird three team trades). We see all the time teams with problem players who still managed to offload the contract without needing to pay for it. Whether or not he succeeded, there was no reason for him to not at least try to get something back for him first., and that is the part i will never forgive him for.
Edmonton overpaid lol
