I'm an Australian. I played field hockey from age 10-27. I enjoyed playing the NHL computer games with my cousin when I was a teenager partly because we both played field hockey. When I travelled to North America in late 2011 at age 29 I wanted to see a live game and going in Toronto worked out well with my itinerary. This is the only reason I go for the Maple Leafs. How did I get so unlucky to pick the most disappointing yet overhyped team in the entire league? I think I'm done with the entire sport at this point.

It's simple, their offense is incredibly overrated and has been for years. Up through last year, they had 14 goals over the course of their last 13 playoff games. These core players you talk about clearly lack character, look at how they answer questions post game for example…there's not much goin on upstairs. Just a lame group. Bourne in particular seems to think these guys are way way better than they really are.
Mathews is the guy that needed to be traded, but you Leaf fans are stuck thinking he is the answer. HE HAS NO FIRE! He never did…People been telling him how great he is all his life. No one ever pushed him and at this age…he won't really get it until way after retirement.
Only Leaf fans had hope for them. Even if they make it past the Sens…Its fun to watch

Back at an all too familiar spot I see 😂. The hardest game to win is the series clinching game and this group clearly cannot get it done.
I'm from australia and have watched every single leafs game since the 21-22 season (usually have to watch replays after work)….this is the first game ever that I didn't watch….I saw the result and couldn't stomach watching the replay – losing again to a worse team. I just couldn't stomach it. The idea that they would have an even 5% chance of winning against the panthers in the next round? yeah right… they can't even handle the sens

Leafs fan here, I know for a fact the Sens win the series…how? I'm not stupid and understand math/statistics. I just bet $250 the Sens win the next game. Free money according to the statistical advantage. I feel sorry for Carlo and Berube getting thrown in with these bums after seeing how it should be done for years. 1-15 in elimination games is crazy, but here we go. Thankfully I never believed, not for a second.

At this point the Sens are the better team. When the series started the Leafs were the more experienced, but the Sens have already surpassed the Leafs Playoff experience in 4 games. Sens win 7-2 next game.

In the cold light of dawn, here is my take: They played their “Game 7” choke game in Game 5 because they earned the 3-0 series lead. They don’t have to wait a whole offseason to redeem themselves. They can do it Thursday night. They can feel like crap and then look each other in the eyes and say, “not again”. Winning the Atlantic and going up 3-0 gives them a chance to redeem themselves in the same series where they have choked and died. Come on, boys.

We have the best defence and goalie in the 10 years of this…..agree with the 4th line. Out of core Marner was ok, knies works. However, Matthews was terrible and nylander didn’t show up. We need those guys to score in crunch time. I think the 1-13 is made up mainly of game 7s. These players now have in their heads to play like they are the ones on the ropes.
