Dallas domine!

1. A doubting Dallas fan here. Very proud of this team so far. Like I said from the beginning: no expectations, just enjoying the ride!

  2. Tbh, I think it's over after blackwood was chased from his net: he was amazing so far, and the Avs have been reliant on him

  3. Dallas was able to win these games without Robertson and Heiskanen. I don't know what's going on with Blackwood, but he better figure it out since the team is facing elimination next game.

  4. I think the betting sites tell these teams how to play each game. Whomever the public bets on ALWAYS loses. The betting lines tell all.

  5. Definitely an off game for the Avs but I don’t think they’re done. The Star were flopping all over and that “call” where the stars player (I didn’t see who it was” just skated into the stick of the Avs player and threw himself to the ice should be ashamed of himself that was soccer levels of silly. That was the worst example but a few times they obviously were trying to draw a call.

  6. Big oof. Also seems like the Avs used up all their puck luck in game 1, if it wasn't for bad luck they'd have none at all. Like what the hell was that second Stars goal?!

  7. Makar has been absent. The depth we all thought the Avs had, absent. I am not sure there is hope for this squad that cannot even capitalize on a PP.

  8. The Avs had the ticket on Saturday. They effectively adjusted their system to dallas and absolutely dominated. But they fell back to their fancy east-west bullshit habits this game and the stars know how to cancel out fancy bullshit. I dont think the Avs win this series, which is sad because only like 3 people on the planet want to see Benn and Marchment have success.

  9. Heiskanen has been better than Makar for 2 years in a row in the playoffs. Makar is as invisible as Miro (since he's out).

  10. Lubushkin was not so bad as last couple month. Already profit. But I still hope they will trade him.

  11. Well considering the 1st Goal's were FLUKE'S IMO the AVS were chasing the rest of the Game. I was at Game 6 in the Double OT Lass last year and that was a dagger!!! No way the AVS are gonna let that happen AGAIN so my prediction is Game 7 for sure. That will be the Battle of Giant's I honestly think this Series should have been a Conference FINAL!!! GO AVS

  12. love both of these teams. I think the core players for the Aves are frustrated because the new players manage and think the game a little different as the squad that won the cup.

  13. This was a fluke game for Dallas their first two goals where mega flukes, I have the Avs winning this series regardless and I’m a proud Panthers fan

  14. I expect the Avs to win game 6 in a close one, but Blackwood is the wild card for me. How does he respond after that last game?

  15. Starzee. That's a good one. During Jim Montgomery short stay in Dallas he pushed defense. after his departure Bones continued the defensive scheme and added offense off of that. Pete came in and I'm not sure but they seem like there is not as much on that until game 5. They just need to continue playing tight defense with great goaltending.

  16. Dallas fan here.

If it were 2nd or 3rd round, I'd be questioning more if Mac and Mak were tired and overextended. But it isn't. It's still the 1st round, and those guys have a lot left in the tank, I'm sure.

Game 5 was decisive, but just like in Game 1 was for the Avs, the Stars got a little bit of puck luck and poor decision making by the Avs, and Blackwood specifically.

Game 6 will be an absolute dog fight as the Avs MUST WIN, and while the Stars have a decent game 7 record, and Pete has a perfect game 7 record, that's all in the past, and the Stars really don't want a game 7 if they can avoid it.

I'll expect game 6 to be a close game, likely going to OT.

Either way, we the fans get to watch some Stanley Cup Final level of competition in round 1.
