  1. So long as we don't go through any more drastic changes in the next season, I'm still feeling pretty confident with this lineup, I knew losing Rantanen was going to be painful. Also, we really need to improve our power play.

  2. Still taking all in with a cooler head, the thing to do is trade Necas, Girard, maybe lekkonnen, and Manson and go from there

  3. Live in LA, Kings fan. We would take Bernard with open arms. Everyone knew that either one of these teams could go on to win the cup. The Aves played tenacious, the Stars as well. It came down to a few bounces going one way or the other; i think it’s crazy to go into a Titanic mindset, this team did a broad changeover and were still jelling. And the Aves did win the Cup fairly recently. I would give my right arm to swap the Aves roster for the Kings, including coaches and staff. One thing, it did seem to me, that Dallas had a little more size that reaped just a little bit dividend the last three series games.

  4. Y’all just won the fuc*ing Cup 3 years ago….first thing I hear is “well this team just can’t do it”
Have a little respect for your team man. I’m not sure who to thank more…Mikko or Blackwood. 🎉

  5. These two guys are as bad as the AVS play by play announcers. You both have bigger chests then my wife, maybe hit the gym ?

  6. One more thing and I know Avs fans will get upset hearing this, but I wish our Barn was as loud and boisterous as Dallas. Ball Arena has been quiet af compared to Dallas. That crowd energized that team tremendously In these games

  7. This is the issue, all the moves left them without pieces to shake anything up. There is a change they can make to shake it up.

  8. Comes down to two things: inability to protect leads in the third period and missed opportunities. Avs were the better team in the majority of this series. The numbers don't lie. Games 2, 3 and 7 they had third period leads with about 10 minutes left and gave up all three. On top of that, games 3 and 7 they had late powerplays, including a double-minor late in game 3 that went into OT. Couldn't score on any of them. You score on that one in game 3 and this doesn't even go 7. You score on the one late in game 7 and you almost certainly win. I think this has very little to do with individual Avs players. Should Necas, Makar and Drouin have produced more offensively? Sure, but the team played well enough to win this series, hands down. I know Dallas has a good penalty kill, but 3/22 or whatever it was is not good enough for a team as good as Colorado.

This also just had "team of destiny" vibes for Dallas. It seemed like no matter what went wrong or how much went wrong or how bad Dallas played or how injured they got, none of it was gonna matter. The universe decided the Stars were gonna win and that was that. Oh well. Sports gonna sport.

  9. Who the hell trades Mikko Rantanen?! Hall of Fame, playoff performer and Moose! No man, no! The window is officially closed. Can't believe this group only won one cup.

  10. Exactly like I said, ex Avs players would bury them, and even Duchene got a pass through the crease with nobody doing anything.

They had this game with 2 periods of amazing defensive play and then they let Rantanen enter the zone like Moses through the red sea, unbothered. Why they suddenly let Rantanen all that space when they had him covered all game? And then the other goal going through 3 pylons, one of them just had to hit him hard and make him pay, but no, since that team of choking balerinas are too soft.

Being humiliated by their own ex players just like Grubauer did 2 yearsa ago show that this team has no pride. That serie went exactly like I predicted and that soulknife guy is really quiet this morning.

Done with this team of chokers!

  11. I totally get people are upset and need someone to blame, so the coach is an easy target. It’s ultimately up to the players to perform and that’s a harder conversation. I think we over simplify the whole “being a winner” thing, like once you win you’re always a winner. It takes work and mental toughness to maintain that. I’m going to get hate for saying this, but Makar won a cup and a con smythe when he was young but has been a complete loser professionally ever since. He lost it. Guy just doesn’t show up.

  12. Jared doesn't know Mikko as he definitely should, "Mikko can do goals, nothing else. WTF…is he blind?

  13. I do love how beating the Avs is basically the championship for The Stars fan base.

DeBoer gets another on Bednar, probably costing Bednar his job, but we all know DeBoer can’t finish the real job.

And yeah I’m sorry, but something has to change.
This team is not a finisher and have proved that over and over again.
Bednar is not getting through to the squad.
They need more intensity and passion, no more of this passive 🤷🏼‍♂️ that’s hockey crap.
Have some fucking emotion for once man, you just lost THREE games with 3rd period leads to a team that did not deserve the wins.

Terrible, and anyone would pay for that in their normal job. Why do we just have to accept that Bednar is great and his staff is great?
Do something else, cuz it ain’t working.

  14. McFarland learned a HUGE Lesson… sometimes in life you get what you pay for… you don’t wanna pay up for the best winger in the game? … cool now he single handedly beat you HIMSELF to send you home packing. His hat track was all him. He needed none of his teammates on any of his goals. It was ALL HIM

  15. They choked. Plain and simple. They couldn't string together back to back wins in the playoffs. They mortgaged the future for nothing, and will be struggling for a couple more years. They blew it. They choked. I'll begrudgingly still be a fan, but I'm taking a step back from this dumpster fire going down hill until it stops.

  16. I told you I was right about the Rantanen trade. 1+1 does not equal 2. It equal 3. You don't go destroy your core.

  17. I find these kind of videos weird. "This team sucks! They can't do it! They can never win!" even though Colorado just won the cup in 2022, with mostly the same players.

Sure, they've lost bits and pieces and maybe they aren't quite as good a team as they were three years ago, but it's just weird seeing Colorado fans acting like Toronto fans, when they've still got crazy good players, have made the playoffs for eight years in a row and have a cup to show for it, too.

  18. Uhm doesn't Bednar ultimately choose his assistant coaches? If yes, then I absolutely have blame for him and not getting rid of Ray Bennett sooner. I feel like insanity is sticking with Ray after multiple years of power-play problems.

  19. No doubt one of the biggest breakdowns in hockey, not only the Avalanche starters, but Coaching as well. Also they need to take a close look at the front office, they blew it big time with the Rantanen trade, Rantanen single handily destroyed the Avalanche.

  20. Afraid to critique Bednar.

    “Look at the big picture”

What? Bednar being 0-4 against DeBoer? Pete adjusts, Jared relaxes back and won’t re-adjust.

Need more emotion to get these guys to care.

  21. Three reasons Avs lost: Size, Heart and system. Our defenders are amazing but Sammy G against Rantana is giving up half a foot in height and 40odd lbs, mismatch is an understatment. The 4th line came with the most consistent heart and it showed. Mac is awesome but the rest of the team has no idea what to do so they stand around watching him (I love to watch him too but it has got to be tough to play with, quality problem). Dallas played an awesome defensive sytem, with heart when it mattered. Fark I want to quit hockey, but who am I kidding. I will watch Dallas run through the rest of the west. grrrrrrrrrrrrr

  22. I didn't see any herioc third period hattricks by Mikko in any elimination games for the Avs. Where was Mikko then? Takes a green jersey to go all superstar?

  23. The Av's have had a tough time playing 3 periods of hockey, as evidenced by the final 20 games (or so) of the regular season. IMO, they're not a clutch team (not enough individual efforts), and were destined to choke.

  24. Coaching. The team is stacked. All 3 goals were lazy breakdowns. That’s coaching. Especially the pk. 3 guys in front of the crease guarding nobody while two guys on the goal line left alone. It’s coaching.
