The bottom six has a lot more physical this year. The Laughton, Lorentz, and Jarkrok line has been great physically and defensively and have had plenty of chances to connect.

As a non-Leafs fan I usually come here each year to watch the Leafs hilariously lose series in the worst way possible but to me it seems they've already broken their curse (for this year anyways) when they won game 6.
Because of that, I think something equally hilarious is going to happen in the opposite direction… the Leafs are going to win in 4.

If the Leafs come out with the fury they brought in R1 G1, they can do it. But they need to sustain it throughout the series. Forget the refs, you know they will miss calls. Just keep possession and get the puck out of our zone to counter the Panthers dump and thump. IT CAN BE DONE.

It's interesting to see this version of the Leafs. It feels like they've been underrated all year. They kept winning and people would make excuses that it was against weaker teams or that the underlying numbers show that they're just getting lucky or that they're only winning because their goaltending is really good. But then they kept finding ways to win. And not only that but they finished 1st in the Atlantic. And then despite some adversity they win the Ottawa series. It feels like this version of the Leafs will be ready to show up right from puck drop. I think the big boys will really show up in this one and take it to the Panthers. I'm not going so far as to say they win the series, but I do think they will continue to surprise us just like they've done all season long.

I always find it hilarious that leafs fan constantly bring up the Bennett hit on Knies, while completely ignoring, not mentioning, glazing over the fact that McCabe laid a dirty, late hit to Cernak of the Lightning in the first round of that playoffs that took him out for the whole series and there was no penalty.
Call me crazy I think whoever wins this series is going to the finals I give the slight edge to Toronto but not by much

This is the opportunity for the Leafs to show they have a team, they have the talent, and they have the will and identity to do something meaningful for the first time since arguably the early 90s… both teams have got different pieces, same identities as two years ago as of today…. The series will determine which narratives stay intact. Heart sincerely wants the Leafs to take that next step… Gut says, nothing has changed and this is 2023 again…. But, that’s why we play the games and that’s why we watch them. Hope we get some great entertainment out of it. Good Luck Steve!

Maybe this is nothing to look at but Toronto vs Florida teams in the playoffs goes as follows
2022: Tampa Bay defeats Toronto (4-3) 1st round
2023: Toronto defeats Tampa Bay (4-2) 1st round
2023: Florida defeats Toronto (4-1) 2nd round
2025: to be determined but Toronto could repeat what they did against Tampa Bay.
I love the Leafs. But unless Florida has a rash of injuries, they are going to smoke the Leafs…physically and on the scoreboard. FL in 5, 6 tops.

I've been a Panthers fan since inception in 93 and I've had to eat humble pie to Lightning fans about Florida being the poor cousin for many years.
