Panthers showed rust and probably took the Leafs too lightly. They’ll have a much better effort from Game Two onward. Leafs need to check better and regain their confidence on the powerplay in order to make this a long series.

Can’t believe this hit on Stolarz.
I watched the ESPN feed. They clearly showed Bennett coming in and intentionally elbowing Stolarz in the side/back of the head as he was falling on top of him. Clear as day. He could have put his hands down to push away from the goalie or turned away to lessen the impact but instead took the opportunity to clearly hammer him with his elbow. Hopefully you guys can see that clip somehow. Leafs and fans have every right to be furious.
