Et nous avons vu beaucoup de chaos cette semaine, Anthony Stolarz étant retiré du premier match du tour 2 après que Sam Bennett lui ait donné un coude. Cette série Maple Leafs vs Panthers semble être une autre. Nous avons vu le Wild du Minnesota passer de la pensée qu’ils gagneraient le match 5 et ramèneraient une avance à la maison, à l’avoir annulé une perte de l’OT contre les Chevaliers qui les ont retirés en 6 matchs. Nous avons vu les Oilers d’Edmonton vaincre les femmes de l’harmonica à Los Angeles, éliminant les rois. Tom Wilson, Alex Ovechkin et les Capitals ont abattu les Canadiens de Montréal. Les Panthers ont battu la foudre de manière dominante alors que Kucherov a publié 0 buts et que les Maple Leafs ont battu les sénateurs d’Ottawa dans la bataille de l’Ontario même si William Nylander n’était presque pas éligible pour jouer. Enfin, malgré un match fort de Markstrom, les Devils ont été vaincus en prolongation par les Hurricanes de la Caroline. Given what Coach (if that really is your occupation) Paul Maurice, does that mean that it's open season on Bobrovsky too? I just want to be clear so that when he is taken out, we won't hear any complaints from the Panthers. Florida, especially Bennett, are a notoriously dirty team that can't win without trying to injure their opponents which is a shame because they do have some talent but just choose to be cheap. Again, especially Bennett who is the king of cheap and dirty; I mean, he makes his living that way and is pretty good at it. Either that or he is paying off the refs to ignore his flagrant misconduct.
I could actually think of another explanation; however, it doesn't bear repeating here.

Hockey is a violent sport. It’s men playing with passion and hatred in their hearts against the opposing team. It’s always been played this way. Just the league is becoming a more skillful game during the regular season and less intense games between traditional rivalry. As soon as the playoffs begin the refs always put the whistle away and call 1-3 penalties a game. The game become more gritty, rougher, guys always finishing their check. Hockey always had an unwritten rule during the playoffs with Injuries of opposing players will help our team chances of winning. Checks are always being made to wear and tear players down. Every defenseman is getting punished with hits which typically in the regular season forward back off from making the check on the defensive during the breakout pass. Guys are stepping up in the neutral zone no easy entrance to the offensive zone. Dman are closing the gap on blue lines and piniching more on 50/50 pucks. Cross checks on forwards constantly who are screening the goalie, extra whacks when goalies are trying to cover the pucks. It’s playoff hockey, guys will get injured and continue to play with injuries until they get knocked out or they lift the cup. It’s Playoff hockey and it’s about lifting the cup. Every postseason you hear about all the players who need surgery and played in the playoffs. Every team who wins the cup always have one guy injured who comes on the ice to lift the cup. The playoffs aren’t out of control, it’s just people are getting a custom to watching a skilled and speed game during the regular season. But playoff hockey is who is more physical, whose goalie is hot, always hear about one third line or 4th line player scored a bunch of goals during thw playoffs but normally only scores 10-20 goals during the season. the teams top line score, second line struggles. The team with the most blocked shot by players typically win the cup every year. The use of stick checks or poke checks increases. No slashing or hooks called.

Just a note…. When a goalie looses, adjusts or has a strap problem to his helmet or lift it to drink they allways shakes his head to reseat and check it for correct positioning

when your goalie pukes into a towel after being run over that's called a concussion. i have had countless from working with horses for 31 years and a ton of fights along the way. (Didn't win all of em i can admit i had my ass handed to me a few times) I do not think the leafs ha ndled their goalies concussion properly. Lets hope he can return. Stollz is doing an amazing job between the pipes no complaints there. lets hope toronto can keep up the intensity and close this round in 4. I would love to se toronto and edmonton for the cup. (Edmonton would have to win tho sorry peeps) I have been an edmonton fan since i was a wee lad but the leafs have my respect also. Lets go budz
