  1. I'd call those area passes if they hit the boards before being picked up by the pass receiver. Area passes are those that don't go directly into a player's path, but to a patch of ice the pass receiver can reach before a defender.

  2. Dude I didn’t know you were back making vids. Show’d up on my recommended videos, great to see these breakdowns again!

  3. MAYBE TEAMS SHOULD NOT TRY TO SCORE FIRST AGAINST THE OIL…DOESNT SEEM TO WORK OUT WELL

  4. YEAH LAYING DOWN SEEMS LAME, DOUGHTY WAS CONSTANTLY LYING DOWN AND IT NEVER EVER WORKED… UNLESS THE THOUGHT PROCESS IS GIVING THE GOALIE A CLEAN LOOK AT A SHOT

  5. THAT PLAY BETWEEN 29, 97 AND 90 WAS THE NICEST PLAY IVE SEEN ALL YEAR … YOU SO RIGHT ABOUT THAT " AREA PASS" TO MCDAVID ( WOW!!!) AND THEN MCDAVID WITH HIS ROUTINE PERFECT DECISION AND THEN MAN COREY PERRY DOEST STICK HANDLE THE PASS…. HE JUST DEFLECTS IT TO HIMSELF …GOAL !!!! WORK OF ART …

  6. BROWNS GOAL WAS LIKE AN IVERSON " ANKLE BREAKING " CROSS OVER … SO GLAD HE WAS ABLE TO PUT IT IN THE NET … I THINK BROWN IS THE BEST DEFENDER ON THE ICE

  7. Great analysis coach. I agree with you about the lying down to block the puck – it’s ruining hockey IMHO – looking forward to your next analysis.

  8. Awesome content and a great breakdown for a guy who has watched hockey his whole ice but has no knowledge of tactics.

  9. Has anyone noticed?? How about coaches? How about the Vancouver Canucks? Every good goal was scored from IN FRONT OF NET? Stop with the shoot it in and chase it, garbage!!!

  10. Now is the Connor Brown cut back to score a goal what you said or did he just want to retire Shea Theodore? Truth in Advertising (the Celli) seems to indicate the latter but…

  11. This is the truth, I predicted the Oilers would win the Cup at the start of the season. That being said, I wavered with my prediction during the season, with injuries and Skinner not looking so sharp. I'm still not sure, but if they can sustain the simple game plan of dumping into O zone and forcheck relentlessly, like they did to LA and now winning game against VGK, then my prediction will come true!

  12. First time watching your vids. Great analysis and break down! Been wayching for 25+ years and i can say i learnt some things from this video. im commenting, liking, subscribing. I cant donate but ill watch your full ads!

  13. Great Analysis, Buddy! Just found the channel. Good stuff.

All the Best to your Jets. Pulling for you.

    Enjoy the run. Cheers

  14. Holy crap I came to your channel every couple months for 2 years looking for new videos and I finally just accepted you were gone. Now I see this? glad to see you're back!

  15. Eichel, Pietrangelo and Doroyefev have been ill for a few weeks. Seems Eichel turned a page, but neither is Marchessault's replacement on Doro or the no1 defenseman in Petro skated today.

I hate to say it as a VGK fan, this isn't looking good at all.

  16. I'm amazed how it takes the Oilers half a period or more to warm up, but then you'd better at least be fast, if not as fast, as they are. And then they just skated rings around the Knights. The speed difference was extreme. Unless Pickard plays like shit, the speed advantage will just be overwhelming. I can't figure Nurse and Bouchard early in games. They play like two monkeys humping the same football sometimes.

  17. From the third period of Game 2 in the L.A. series the Oilers have been a different team throughout the lineup. They are no longer a group of players waiting for their top 2 guys to do it all. Everyone is doing his part from Pickard to Perry to Brown to Klingberg to Walman. And yes, Draisaitl and McDavid still bring the magic: but they look like a team.

  18. You do a great analyse.
This year line's Oilers are more balanced and their defense is better. Dray and McDavid are unstoppable !

  19. Love the breakdown. I will check into your vids more often. Oilers took over the game pretty heavily as the shots showed in the second and third. LOVE IT! You broke our hearts last year boys, lets finish the job this year!!! Go OIL!
