If they stay at 5, hope Chicago and Utah want some size with Martone and Frondell so Hagens is still there. If he's gone, take Desnoyers or Frondell if you think they can be a 1C. If not, trade back and take Smith, Mrtka, Eklund or O'Brien. McQueen seems like a bust and I wouldn't take him.

Preds fans love to overreact
What a waste of time this season was. Not that I am a fair weather fan because I will always be a Preds fan. But, I have a newborn and have very limited free time. So, if the Preds want me to spend any of my precious free time watching them or any of my dwindling bank account on them, they have two options…. Give me wins or sell me hope.
Wins: well, our stars are another year older in the better of the two western divisions. Am I confident we will see more wins next year? Nope.
Hope: do I see the team being better in like 3 years? Do we have young guys coming up in our system and they just need to get a bit of NHL experience? We do have some young guys. But, why did we trade or just… let players be taken? They were good young guys. What the hell Berry? Sure, we still have a few players I am hopeful for. But, they top out at solid mid range players. And they are a few years away to even that. I have like 2% hope this team does anything positive in the standings the next 5 years. So, I have no hope.
No wins, no hope. What are you selling me Preds? Overpriced popcorn? Jerseys made in Canada with a 30% tariff? Beer I have to remortgage my house for? Goal chants I won’t get to cheer because we suck at scoring? Are you giving me a navy jersey instead of pee yellow (trying to pass pee off as gold is criminal). Are you just selling me depression and telling me to like giving you money to be depressed? No… I will always be a Preds fan more than any other sports team. Hockey is the best sport in the world. But, whatever magic we had was lost in 2018 against Winnipeg.
Honestly, Im happy with a top 5 pick even though staying in the top 3, or heaven forbid winning 1st or 2nd overall. We’ll get a top talent. This year’s draft class is just decent. Not bad, not good. Just decent. We can win McKenna next year because I foresee us sucking yet again. But, the Preds need to draw me in somehow. I am not wasting time and money for a team just flopping around like a Magikarp holding an everstone. I am here waiting for you. But the Preds need to make the first move. I guess tickets will be cheap so I can take my kid to their first game. Wait… tickets are still how much?
We have to relive this nightmare for McKenna 😭😭😭😭
