Not only have I seen the Leafs win the Cup; I've seen them do it FOUR TIMES (okay, I'm old). And I've suffered ever since. But experience tells me that the Panthers HAD to win game three. The fact they had to go to overtime, and had to rely on pucks going in off Leaf players, tells me they are in much worse shape than some of us might think. The Leafs could come out of Florida with a split and be up 3 – 1. I've seen it before.
That linechange on that 3rd goal by Marner was gross. Unacceptable for this time of year. And the 4th goal let in by Woll also not good enough. And it was 3-1! 2013 issues are still alive and well.
Leafs have yet to play an "A" game this series. If they don't, Florida will be taking the series. Florida has all momentum now.
I'm not worried about the loss at all tonight I was mostly expecting it
They got drastically outplayed in the second half of the overtime… man it was sad to watch

Am I the only person who feels like Nylander is just a passenger some nights. Gets lots of offensive touches but stays away in the defensive zone and is lazy on line changes

Steve are you capable of saying one bad thing about Matthews instead of just defending him like your own son? While yes he’s not playing “bad” and providing in some ways, the guy is the 2nd highest paid player in the league, “best goal scorer in the league” yet he has 3 goals in his last 15 playoff games. In his career he has 0 goals in 8 round 2 games. He had 0 goals in the 4 nations tournament. If we were talking about anyone else that makes his kind of money, it would be VASTLY underperforming. But for some reason leafs fans have a soft spot for matthews

Steve not to be that guy, but Auston is paid 13.5 million to score goals… If he was payed because of how good his defensive game is then he’d be payed as much as Barkov… stop excusing mediocrity, barely point per game for a 13+ million dollar player is inexcusable

Matthews has been by far the leafs best player in the series, and it hasn't been close.
Need to hold the zone? He's there and diving for it.
Need to clear the zone for a line change? He gets it out but doesn't ice it.
Need to get out with possession? He's there.
Need a blocked shot? He's there.
Need to break up the neutral zone rush? He's there.
Need to win a puck battle? He's there.
He's completely reformed his game for this series. He looks like prime Nicklas Lidstrom out there. Never flashy. Never exciting. Always quiet. Always in the perfect place. Always at the perfect time. He's stun locking every panthers line he comes up against. It's beautiful to watch.

BUT since Carlo played the puck with a broken stick into Wolls blocker, that means play should have been blown dead, no goal, and a penalty/penalty shot instead

Leafs played a pretty good game … had chances to win in overtime …Bob made great saves in overtime …. Weird bounce goals in this game… leafs battled and. Came back to tie it up in the end to send it to overtime …great game … this next game is going to be insane!! 🎉🎉🎉 Go Leafs freakin Go!!! 😮😮😮😮

I'll take Matthews playing a great two way game. The Leafs aren't having any problems scoring. They're actually more dangerous this way. Mathews will score when it's really needed. Keep the faith.
You have to score on a breakaway… couldn't do it in Game 7 way back when when you were up 4-1, and twice last night. The trick is to fake a shot and then deke the goalie. Rate of success much higher, and if you don't score, rebounds can go anywhere.

Panther fan here, who has been following you the last few years because you're entertaining as heck, but I came here to say this. The Leafs are a much improved. If the Panthers lose, we lose. If we do lose, I hope you all get your cup.

it's exhausting to continue to hear comments about Matthews…sure he is paid to score, but it's a team game first and he is playing an absolute complete game, he's doing everything else perfectly
IDK, a guy who throws James Riemer under the bus and at the same time turns into a used car salesman. Steven ain't no leaf fan, he used to be but now he's just making money of it all. Don Cherry was right. Oh and the screaming stuff is getting old.

Was a tight game. Goal tending for Toronto made the difference. Toronto defence was pressured into a few mistakes. Obviously, Toronto didn't play Stolarz all season for nothing. Is Woll terrible? NO. Is Woll as good as Stolarz? NO. Can Toronto win without Stolarz? Maybe. Difference I see is that little bit of extra defensive coverage required to protect Woll. Not a huge deal but when two teams are as closely matched as these guys are, it shifts the balance. Toronto has figured out how to be aggressive on the forecheck like Florida. It is the only way to get Ozone time and create opportunities. These two teams are both playing a similar style but the defense of Florida is just a bit stronger and more systematic.

The Leafs are equal to the Panthers and are definitely capable of beating them in the series, They had bad luck this game. Most importantly, they don't cheat or play dirty. Unfortunately, hockey is the only sport that accepts unsportsmanlike conduct and attempts to injure (fake fights aside) and that is both disgusting and embarrassing. Remember what happened in the UK? Clink Malarchuk? (although accidental). I have been watching hockey for 45 years and officials need to be held accountable!

Cats fan here, Leafs fans should be proud of this team regardless of the outcome of this series. They look fast, tough and hungry. I’m enjoying the high quality hockey these two teams have played and I’m one of the few that had this series going 6 or 7 games either way. May the best team win LET’S GO PANTHERS
Win 1 more, have 3 chances to finish the job, don't want to say I believe, but I'm feeling MUCH less stress in 1 goal games – old habits die hard though!
