Matthews has 10 pts in 10 games this playoffs. Marner has 12 pts in 10 games. We're playing against Defending champs tied 2-2. Woll just stood on his head and is in solid form. The boys are playing well. Everyone's so negative. Leafs haven't even trailed once in the playoffs yet… You guys are the annoying leafs fans/media that everyone talks about. Get rid if ur negative mindset if u are a true fan.
Mathews has never been a playoff performer. Not once in his entire career.

Lol the media has been giving Matthews a pass for years, he’s the team leader and supposed to be the best goal scorer in the league and he’s the biggest person to blame for the leafs lack of playoff success, he needs to produce or the leafs won’t make it past the second round…again
Matthews should sit out the next game. If he can’t find the back of the net then put someone in that can find it. Robinson has a history of scoring after coming back from a break. When Matthews was out in the regular season the team won games. Paying him $13.6 million a year is a waste of money when you’re in the post season and can’t score..SERIOUSLY!!!
Should have traded him years ago. Matthews has no loyalty to a Canadian team. He plays for his paycheck and his regular season output means nothing if he does not produce in playoffs.
matthews you need to remember who you are
It could be Matthews has a lingering injury that is hampering his goal scoring ability. Also at the time he was given the captaincy, it seemed at best questionable to me. Matthews doesn't seem to be cut from the same cloth as, say, a Steve Yzerman or a Sidney Crosby.
Give the C back to Tavares.

I think that it’s pretty clear that Auston is dealing with an injury of some sort, so expecting him to perform at full capacity isn’t realistic. Keep in mind he’s still contributing, he’s been good in all areas of the ice, the puck just isn’t going in for him. With that said, it would be great to see him pot a goal or two if he’s able.
If you’ve watched the playoffs each season , say the Edmonton Oilers as an example , players get hot , other players get cold . Usually because of how much attention the other team makes it hard for you to score. McDavid had cold streaks, on other years but, other players stepped up.
It’s those players that the Panthers don’t pay a whole lot of attention to as a goal scoring threat, take advantage and drill that puck at the net. Austin Mathews will get opportunity’s but, even the psychology of the threat on the ice gives other lesser known’s to drill one in the back of the net , or two or three .
