Go Canes!
They only gonna talk about us when we leave then nothing else to talk about! LETS GO CANES!!
I think it is less them covering their bums by creating receipts of praise, and more them trying to cover their bums overcoming the boring narrative specifically. If the Canes make the Stanley Cup finals after weeks of pushing the boring narrative, it will be a profit catastrophe since no one would want to watch us play.
it changed from pk subban and espn to tnt that's the difference lol
What national media yall watching?
PK Subhan is such a has-been.
ESPN dude on Sportscenter early this morning was like. . .maybe there should be an * beside this Canes series win because the Caps dude got his stick stuck in the boards last night. TNT likes to show the Ovi goal 5-3 right after the Canes scored. The narrative hasn't changed. National media hates it, and it makes me love it even more when we win!
They're trying to jinx us. Don't listen to it. COVER YOUR EARS
It's only because the Canes left nothing good to talk about the Caps.
The conversation will really change based on the outcome of the ECF….. let me walk that back for a minute theres still work to do in this round – BUT! I will say that Hurricanes ECF history has been discussed in recent years in a negative light by people outside of the Hurricanes fan base. So SHOULD the Hurricanes win this series and move onto the ECF and SHOULD the Hurricanes perform well there…. well I think it's possible that the national media narrative shift happening now may end up shifting significantly more
I remember the same old story in 2006 , they only had one game on national tv all year and they won the cup.
Yes, total CYA
Clearly, here in Raleighwood, we love Rod.
The national media tends to love chaotic, unorganized hockey. The best games, in their opinion, are the 6-5 games where goalies and defense are more of a technicality than a highlight. Talent shines and personal skill thrives.
The Canes play "boring hockey" because they shut down the all-time leading NHL goal scorer. They shut down the power play of their opponents, who should be scoring on those opportunities. They shut down their opponents, tire them out, and skate laps around them in their opponents' zone.
It's definitely a process, and when it works, it works well. When we have buy-in from everyone, big names or not, we have success.
