1. 1) Yes, you're a fool, lol. Leafs are not a playoff team – think San Jose back in the day, but I guess they eventually made SCF….
    2) Get rid of him. He's not a playoff guy.
    3) He's not Captain material, but worth keeping. He needs a strong captain to actually 'lead' and I think he'll be able to elevate his game in playoffs.

  2. Imagine this. The trade deadline. Marner goes to Canes, Rantanen comes to Leafs. They put Rantanen with Nylander.

    What a waste.

  3. Not a Leafs fan but if this were my team, here's how I'd answer the questions.

    1) based on the history of this core four, yes it seems foolish to believe they can win the series. That being said, I've watched too many sports for too long to count anything over until it's officially over. Believe it or not, crazier things have happened. If it were my team, I would expect a loss but leave the possibility that something miraculous happens.

    2) As a fan of a team that can afford Marner this offseason, I do not want my team to sign him at close to Rantanen's number (not that Marner would come here anyway). He's actually one of my favorite players to watch play. I love his defensive ability and ability to create offense, but we all know the story on him in the playoffs. I wouldn't want Marner at his current cap hit either.

    3) Matthews is probably injured, but obviously nobody wants to hear that excuse and rightfully so. Even when healthy, I just don't know if he has that "dog" in him like other star players have shown in the playoffs.

    4) Steve will be fine. He's made it this far and continues to have passion for the game.

  4. Leaves fall in autumn. The Leafs fall in May. Always. Every single year. Like clockwork. Babies born in 1967 are now grandparents. Let that sink in.

  5. I've been a fool for the past 9 seasons! Break up this core already! Wherever Marner goes next, take Rielly with you please!

  6. Ryan O’Reilly was absolutely right about them. He noticed it immediately and got outta there!

  7. They blew there chance of getting anything for Marner and now he's going out with the upper hand to get what he wants What a joke of a team management,
Who really thinks he will be back now.

  8. Steve could be very okay. Just cheer for The Oilers.

Sure, we have our gaffs and defensive breakdowns now and then, but at least when the game really matters, our superstars come ready to wage war and bleed a little bit for the team and for us fans.

  9. It's man up time, they're laughing at you in Florida, rhe rat and Bennett yuckin it up over a few brews, it's time to show ya gotta pair or bust this up and start over, but cmon Leafs you can't go down like this, THEY ARE LAUGHING AT YOU!!

  10. They can't go to Florida to squeeze a win. They need to go there with a smash mentality and abruptly change the momentum. We have the players to do it.

  11. Look, I’ll give them all the credit if they can crawl their way back and win the series, but right now can anyone really blame us fans for giving up? That was a disgraceful performance, but it’s up to the team to show us that they actually want to win. Because all of our eyes aren’t lying to us. We see that there’s no heart, no giving a shit, how can you expect us to care when obviously they don’t? We don’t get to go back to millions of dollars, and a car and a big house. We get to go back to our full or part time jobs, trying to scrape through day by day. Just a little passion and heart is all we ask in return, which seems such a small thing to be asking for but means so much to us. Ok rant over, now prove me wrong Leafs, show me you give a shit.

  12. I'm a Lightning fan and would be upset if we signed Marner as a free agent this summer
