A friend recommended your channel at the start of the first series and I have to say its nice to see someone that gives the canes Credit when its due and calls us on our weaknesses correctly when they're obvious. I think I've learned more about how my team plays watching your analysis than in almost a decade of watching.
This is a great example of why I am happy they got rid of that 2-line pass crap.

did you really say even IF they lose this series? that is highly unlikely based on historical stats and even more so on everything we've seen in this series.
I predicted Canes- Caps-Canes-Canes-Caps-Canes before the series. I would not be surprised if the Caps win game 5, but the Canes are getting better and better, and there is a great chance it ends Thursday.

While I sort of like the idea of having a superstar, I concurrently struggle with why everyone feels the need to have one.
If we have a deep, dynamic bench, loaded with strong talent who’re all great at what they do, a superstar is realistically moot. We’re currently proving this by having a strong band of guys who are most definitely hometown heroes: the kind who don’t need their ego rubbed by league-wide fanbase recognition. They show up, they go to work, they get it done: all playing their unique yet important role in each win.
I’ll take a team full of hometown heroes that consistently win games over having one “superstar” whose health, reputation, etc. seemingly determines the game/season outcome. Hometown heroes: EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Make no mistake, however. I believe our top players deserve to be considered superstars throughout the league because they’re consistently getting it done, many times in spectacular fashion. That said, them not receiving that level of league-wide recognition isn’t negatively affecting the team.
Oh yeah: LET’S GO CANES!!!

I think AOv is a non issue this series. Watching him on that 5 on 3 I felt like I was watching his final NHL goal. He was just standing there the whole play. When he’s on the ice at the blue line he’s a liability, barely moving. Canes are literally just skating around him or mowing him over. They’re just ignoring him. Maybe he and the Caps will wake up. Watching then they seem almost like they’re trying too hard. Them trying to goad the Canes into an “equalizer” matching penalty when a call goes against them is so desperate. Sounds lame but the Caps need to get back to basics if they want to make this a series.
Earned a follow, it’s nice to see someone who doesn’t go with the league narratives and actually give this team a fair shake.
Not quite sure why THE ALGORITHM decided you needed to be shown to Canes fans, but I have really appreciated your analysis. I've long been a fan, but since I never played (Canes didn't come until I was in middle school, hockey was not A Thing anywhere around here back then), I know far too little about the details only players would know.

I will say this win or Lose Washington is got a bright future with Leonard Cristall Paraseck Miroshnichenko Chelsey and Hutson just need to get a little bit younger hopefully getting rid of Eller and Carlson in the next 2 seasons they have been god awful this series.
