Not sure if LA can land Marner, but the Kings have 2 right handers and 10 left handers in their forward group.
Those 2 are Laferriere and Kuzmenko who the Kings still have to sign this summer.
The Kings biggest need right now is a top end right handed forward to go along with Laferriere and Kuzmenko.
Marner was a point a game player with Toronto this playoffs.

Please, no. The dude is a PO choker and will be overpaid wherever he goes. The Kings need heart and grit players like Marchand. Add to this that the Kings *should want to also extend Kempe and sign Kuz and Gavrikov. If they do all three, they probably won't have the cap space for Marner.

getting Marner would be the stupidest thing ever! and to those who think Marchand is better, PLEASE he's way too old, the Kings need someone in their prime between 25 to 28 yrs old, big, plays like Bennett. I'd rather see Marner go to Vegas and then Vegas will need to drop someone from the team, and thats who you pick up. I'd rather pick Kole Lind from Dallas or Morgan Geekie or even Tyson Jost…if you lose Gavrikov who are you going to get to replace him, please be smart, otherwise just do a total rebuild and get rid of everyone

I’m sorry, but this is one of the worst takes I’ve ever heard. How, in any way, will a gigantic contract for Mitch Marner help LA beat Edmonton? You want to go through this again? As long as McDavid is in the Western Conference, the team must be built to shut him down to the greatest extent possible.
Offense isn’t the Kings’ problem. Scrapiness and confidence is. Kings need to find solutions to McDavid and Kane.
Also, how often, if ever, does a huge UFA signing lead to playoff success? How are Stamkos and Marshessalt doing? Maybe Messier in the 90s? But unlike Marner, Messier was a proven leader and winner. I would absolutely break the bank to sign a post-Edm Messier.
They should honesty just blow up this team, keep the young guys and build with a strategy in mind, instead of this black hole hodgepodge they’ve been maintaining for the last 10 years.

I was high on Marner, but after seeing the Kings choke again against Oilers and Marner kinda disappearing in the playoffs the Kings need size and grit. Just like what Blake was doing with the signings from this past season. Keep Kuzmenko and Gavy and add someone like Sam Bennett and Marchand.

Look at teams like Florida and Carolina. Both have a system in place, and they stick to it no matter what. Kings supposedly had a defensive system, yet when playoffs started, it all fell apart. Not sure if getting a guy for 13 mil a year is the answer here.

Marner is a very good hockey player but too expensive and way too soft specially in the playoffs and not worth the money!!! Kings won the cups because yes they were a good hockey team but Totally and probably the TOUGHEST team in the League!!!

The first domino to fall should be to buyout Drew Doughty but since Luc Robitaille is really still in charge you can forget that happening. Buying Doughty out frees up $7.33 million and clears enough room for Gavrikov, Marner, Lafferriere and another player.
The Kings played well without Doughty in 2022 and all this season. Doughty looked old out there when he came back. Why did he come back for the 4 Nations and risk not being 100% for the playoffs? He could have stayed on LTIR and the Kings would have had unlimited cap space at the deadline. He would have had 2 more months to get as close to 100% for the playoffs. Why did he insist on playing in 4 Nations after major ankle surgery? Why? SELFISHNESS that’s why!
