This team reminds me of the 2004 Lakers. Both brought in superstars most of which were on the wrong side of 30, but with little depth outside of them… They're gonna need to clean house and gain some depth pieces.

As a Preds fan….
1. I think Bruno is gone and I blame most of our problems this season on him. He put this roster through a horrible “line blender”, and was admittedly confused on how to fix any issues.
2. I really like Bunting. For some reason, the Preds were allergic to getting near the net and grabbing those greasy goals, but that’s Bunting’s game and he’s also very pesky and frustrating to the other team defensively.
3. Molendyk is one of the best defensive skaters I’ve ever seen. Hopefully, he’ll make the roster next year because that kid is something else.
4. I know in the draft we need a top centerman, but I think if Schaefer or Misa are there when they pick, that’s who we take.
4. This defense without Josi or Lauzon is just a train wreck and they constantly get scored on…. A LOT! I’d put more of the blame on the defense that Saros. He’s lights out when he gets even the slightest bit of help of defense.
Nashville fan here and this is a great assessment and spot on. We're in a tough spot with the recent contracts.
Trotz must go. He gives away players for zero or minimal return. They still have a cap hit for Duchene’s buyout, and he led the Stars in points. That’s insane. All their moves this season were awful. Everyone except Novak performed much better on their new team. They clearly need a new coach too. Everyone they bring in performs worse.

I probably the cap space for top 4 d and depth and if we suck at the deadline than i sell
