  1. A big factor in Edmonton not matching the Holloway/Broberg offersheets is that neither of those players were all that good in Edmonton. They had no salary but if Holloway put up the 60+ points he did in St. Louis, Edmonton would’ve made moves to make the cap hit work, or would’ve gotten way higher compensation.

St. Louis saw something in them, and it paid off huge, but with players like Cuylle, Kakko and Evangelista, these players have shown huge flashes and their teams are more likely to match it.

A successful offersheet would be for a player like Hendrix Lapierre who didn’t show much last season but is young and is a former first round pick.

  2. Crazy we’re talking about the SABRES 2c being able to come in and solidify the position on the bruins 😂

  3. I really like Cuylle's game. I wanted him on the team since last year. I think Theres a 20+ Goal power forward.

  4. Offer sheeting when you are bottom 5 isn't that smart IMO. Giving away a pile of good picks for 1 guy. If you are a top 10 team wanting a chance at a cup makes it more sense. Way better to finish at the bottom 1 more year

  5. Shame about Matthew Kneis. He's a good player.
I'd rather go after McTavish over Mcleod.
I'm not sure I'd focus offer sheets on D.
Maybe for a top 6 center but not bottom 6 or any D.

Still curious who they pick for Coach.

  6. What about marco rossi? Heard the wild dont want to pay him and rossi might not want to stay there. 60 point centre. Will cuylle would be great for sure. Mittlestadt is only a 3c. 18 gms 6pts and a minus 17. And getting 5.9 million? I would trade him immeadiately. Poitras or minten might be a good 3c? Anyways good video again Court.

  7. I wouldnt spend our first on Cuylle tho. You make excellent points, I appreciate the content. I would love to try to trade for Cuylle, but i'm not sure what that would look like.

  8. Cullye makes sense, but something tells me Sweeney wouldn’t pull the trigger because of the 2 signings he did last year (Lindholm, Zadorov).

  9. Offer sheets are in the rules, so there's no reason for GMs to get pissy when this happens. If I'm Sweeney, and I'm not expecting the team to contend for the playoffs, I don't know that it makes sense to surrender a 1st round pick along with others for someone who is just going to be on a losing team. If the plan is to leapfrog Det, Buf, Ott, and Mtl, then perhaps, but there will need to be a couple other moves to improve the roster. I agree McLeod would be nice to have some more depth up the middle. Good value in a 0.5+ PPG players.

  10. depressing the Bruins likely can't afford many RFAs – not the money, just the compensation would be painful.

  11. I dont think this team is good enough to forfeit any draft picks tbh but cullye would be the guy but not for a first rounder

  12. Unless they can acquire a quality player for no more than a second round pick. I would like Boston to retain their first round picks! Thank you for the update !

  13. Would like a tuch trade
I just don’t understand how any player would want to stay in buffalo
